"Impromptu Wednesday evening meal out, I booked a couple of hours before and that was no problem (although they said they get very busy especially at weekends). The waiter was really welcoming and didn’t hesitate to explain all the dishes to us and when my husband said he didn’t want anything too spicy they were happy to tone down the spice in the dish he’d chosen. The food was really tasty and fresh, the atmosphere was nice with Sti Lankan (I presume) music playing in the background. If you like lager, give the Sri Lankan lager a try, it was light and refreshing. I would definitely give the restaurant a whirl if you're in the area, you wont be disappointed."

"from broken fishing with cloby chips and fresh mushy garden to swordfish with granatapfel and cousin. even steak for those strange people who turn their beak on fishing! the easy fish co. is located on the back of the shops fishing business in the heart of Heaton moor. an open kitchen with a small, lively fit complements the entire ambiente. the atmosphere was alive to add the food. the salt and pepper chocolate attarsia really went well and my mackerel fillets with coconut rice and chilli picked veg for pornstars. fresh, light and full taste. no bone in! the service was prosperous and friendly, and at the one thing that there appeared a little slow due to a sudden influx of new diners the delay was recognized by our waiter, offered his apologies before we had really realized that there was a delay at first place. a good selection of weeps the gavi conchetta from piemonte was on dry enough to cut through the oily fish still with enough taste and nase to leave also abundantly notable. about 15 20. wein about 15 35 £. a delightful evening will certainly return."

"Booked over the phone the day before to reserve a table I've been meaning to visit for a while I wish I had visited sooner. Stunning little cafe. We arrived 10 minutes early and the cafe was filling up nicely the smell of coffee was lovely. Nice easy laid out menu plenty to chose from I ordered pot of tea, beef onion panini which was absolutely stunning with coleslaw and salad. The service was great really friendly server who was all masked up and wearing the correct PPE, food was well presented and delicious. We had to wait a little while to order our desserts as the cafe was quite busy and a few joe public were queuing outside for take away coffee's. There was facilities out in the back yard with tables etc for people with dogs to sit. I had a cherry scone with my own little pot of jam cream would recommend you try this. Each table had its own hand sanitizer which I thought was great for little ones who can't keep there fingers out of there mouths. Overall 5 stars will definitely be returning in the near future. To help support our local businesses during these tough times this place is one that we need to support to still be around when Covid is no more. Very reasonably priced, loved it."

"I'm very lucky to have such a fantastic Cafe Sandwich shop near home, it has been a welcome addition to the neighbourhood community since its opening in April 2018. Owner's Paula Phil have put a lot of thought and hard work into...this place have really got things right. "What a stunning find.. needed a place for an anniversary meal and saw them google, decided to try it and from the first step inside it was the best decision. Staff were so warm and friendly, the owner is a delight and again so personable, had a good laugh and joke with them all, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the food and drink cannot be beaten. "Time and again my family and I call at Blueberries in the bizarre and foolish hope that it has improved. And time and again we continue to be disappointed... Disappointed because the service is poor and the servers (when they dane to notice you, genuinely believe they are doing you a favour by looking down their noses at you. Disappointed not one of us have managed to receive what we ordered this year (so far , despite most of our orders being straight off the page of the grubby menu. Disappointed because food takes an age to arrive, even though take-away customers are told that eat-in customers are prioritised – whilst eat-in customers are told take-away is prioritised! Disappointed as when meals eventually arrive they are both cold and overcooked – which doesn’t seem possible, I know! I have yet to see a soft yoke at any meal on a table I have sat at, or bacon that is more than just-above raw – or less than done to a cinder. One must ask if this is an alien plot to put humans off eating? Disappointed because nobody actually gives a monkeys whether customers have any level of satisfaction in what they have received. Disappointed because there is always something missing: Be-it toast, sauce or knives, forks or visibility of the table due to the detritus of previous occupants. And most of all I am disappointed in myself for having the reoccurring faith that next time will be better than the last. Still – there’s always next week!!!"

"Called restaurant to book table on the night and was amazed to see it full on arrival no empty tables at all. Hand sanitizer on table by door hardly used by patrons. Staff face masks NO Staff disposable gloves YES Reduced...table capacity NO Asked for contact number e-mail address NO Plastic screens NO If this is how eating out in August from Mon-Wed is going to be then I would rather pay full price and eat out at the weekend....at least there would be less chance of catching Covid-19!!! It has been a while since we have eaten here but feel the standard is definitely lower. No salad with samosas and onion bhaji dishes and poppadoms stale. Ordinary prawns in King Prawn dish and less chicken in the other dish....mainly sauce!!! Will be interesting to see what the owners response will be and whether improvements will be made going forward. I have eaten out quite a few times at different places and this was the worst establishment for social distancing."

"I have to start by saying how the staff are always smiling. They 're friendly and have some great recommendations. Moving onto the food, we ordered the chaat platter, chilli paneer and prawns from the tandoor clay oven. I was disappointed by the paani Puri it lacked the tang and explosion of taste you expect, instead it had a very bland and lacked flavour. However the rest of the items on the platter were absolutely fabulous!! Fresh, crunchy, tangy, tasty, flavourful. Everything you expect from a chaat platter. I could have ordered another 2 (without the paani Puri) The chilli paneer was one of the best I 've had! The tandoor clay oven prawns were perfectly cooked and had the right amount of 'tandoor ' taste however the marinate flavour was lacking. Mains veg Kolhapuri.... Oh my gosh!!!! No words can describe how amazing this was and how is it was possible to make veg taste like it did!!! It was absolutely divine!!! We ate it with garlic naan, that too was fab.. it was rolled to the right thinness and had the absolute perfect amount of garlic and butter!! An absolute treat. I should mention as we ate others sat around us on other tables just couldn 't stop complementing the foods they had ordered! So I 'm definitely going back to taste the other items! Desserts gulab jamun and pistachio kulfi ... At first glance the gulab jaman looked lost in the bowl it was presented in, the syrup was way too thin and the 2 balls were too small. However, the taste.... I don 't think I 've had better. Some improvement required in the presentation and with the syrup .. but the taste 5 5 .. amazing! The pistachio kulfi I expect frozen... But ... We couldn 't dig in... Waited almost 25 30mins for it to soften ... Once it did once again the taste was everything you expect... Another 5 5. However does require some thinking to ensure the customer doesn 't leave with a brain freeze instead of the flavoursome taste. We enjoyed multiple drinks including mango lassi, lemonade and mint tea all of which were fab.. even the mango lassi was the perfect consistency however it comes with ice which when melted affects the taste of the lassi (server should ask if the customer would like or not I wasn 't given an option) I 'm going back!! And I definitely recommend!!"

"We dined here on a Saturday night and it was very busy with larger groups so you have definitely got to reserve a table! We travelled here from Stockport by train so it was a bit of a walk but well worth it. We chose 4 small dishes followed by a main each and it was all delicious and felt authentic. They have different items on the menu here compared to your usual Indian restaurant and I loved trying the new dishes. It's not especially cheap but good for a special occasion and our only disappointment concerned the amount of meat in our mains it was a bit small. Overall though I would recommend this restaurant and the staff were very friendly too."

"My girlfriend and I stopped by for a drink on Saturday. The atmosphere was lacking, as there was no music and the place was uncomfortably quiet. The staff seemed unenthusiastic and unwelcoming, failing to explain the app ordering system. We had to rely on other customers for help. While the bar wasn't terrible, there are definitely better options in the village. Staff training in customer service is needed urgently, and some music would enhance the experience."

"My elderly mother, a friend and I had a wedding anniversary lunch at The Midland today Monday) and had a really nice time. The setting by the river Goyt is charming. Our food including Salmon and Pork plus scallops) was well presented and tasty. The service was prompt and the atmosphere relaxed. We were not hurried away after our meal and stayed chatting. "We visited the Hinds Head tonight as we are up in manchester for my husband surprise birthday weekend to Old Trafford . The Hinds Head was only a short walk from where we are staying and my husband and myself cant praise your establishment enough . The food was exceptional,the best we have had in a long time . "Been here twice now and have booked to go back again in December and January...Covid tiers permitting! Both times that I've been, the lone female member of waiting staff has been run off her feet but managed to remain attentive, accomodating to special requests/slight tweaks of the menu and friendly, despite looking like she was meeting herself coming back! Only done breakfast so far, which has been perfect both times. I don't ordinarily like hash browns, so asked for no hash browns and had extra tomato. Big fail on my part...huge! The 2nd time I went the person I went with had the hash brown and I tried a bit...they are not your bog standard hash browns! I think they must be home made...if they aren't I NEED to know where they're from! They taste like potato cakes...proper home made potato cakes my mum used to make from left over mashed spud when I was a kid! I won't be requesting they be left off my plate next time! The portion sizes are more than ample, the coffee's lovely, (I asked what coffee beans they use and have bought some...and a coffee maker to go with them, it was THAT nice! And the atmosphere, cleanliness and ambience of the place is spot on! What's not to like?The brunch and lunch menu look interesting...must try them at some point! Highly recommended...great little place!"

"My review unfortunately has had to change from a 5 to a 2. This place has some beautiful home-made treats and staff are friendly. But what a let down on the food for the second time in 3 weeks. I won't be returning. Poached eggs hard, was replaced with more hard eggs, missing items on a full English. Even my son said it wasn't very tasty, he had eggs Benedict and the French toast. "We popped into The Art of Siam in Marple recently, and we were pleasantly surprised with the restaurant's authenticity and food. The service was welcoming, and the choices were simple to make from an uncluttered menu. We decided all to go for lunch deal which was reasonably priced. My wife and I had the usual soups as a starter which were flavoursome and filled with succulent chicken. For the main, we had the typical Pad Thai Chicken and Chicken chillies Basil (Pad Kraw) which was thankfully served at just the right amount, so we didn’t need to overeat. All in all, good service, good food at a good price. Very satisfied."
