"Inn in the Burgundian countryside which at first glance is insignificant in national terms; inside the room is rustic and tasteful, but the terrace in the Volnay vineyards is extraordinary with a view of the vineyard as far as the eye can see. The traditional cuisine is excellent, and the reasonably priced cellar allows you to choose a good local bottle. Pithiviers of beef fillet, foie gras and ham; the sweetbreads and fish mousseline soufflé are sublime…. If you pass near this Auberge des Vignes, a stop is necessary."
