"WOW. I am in catering business front of house mainly Michelin star restaurant and 5 star establishments, but the fish and chips at this place is the best ever. 10 out of 5. The batter was perfect. Crispy no excess oil or bad oil smell. The thin fries was also the same. Beautifully cooked with no oil again. Crispy thin fries perfectly. The peas, the fish batter and the fries was perfectly seasoned. Just enough. The home made tartar sauce had the right balance of acidity because of the right quantity of ingredients. The fish felt like it was caught that morning. The flaky fish was cooked through with perfect moisture so opaqu. Just as it should be. The chef who worked on Sunday Lunch 4 PM should get a raise or recommendation. Excellent job you can see the passion it was made with. Why mention all this? While this is what the regular guest should receive but in most places there is just no care going into these simple dishes. Service was great. I was acknowledged and greeted when walking in. I was served politely. If in the neighbourhood, will not go anywhere else."
