"An amazing, cozy, welcoming dinner at the auberge. The atmosphere is one of quaint familiarity and comfort, without façon. We took the obligatory Malakoffs as a starter (excellent, not too oily, very generously sized), and they came accompanied by the green salad and here’s...the thing: this simple green salad, with shredded lettuce and parsley, is the best thing I’ve eaten in a long time. A kingdom for that dressing recipe! But they wouldn’t reveal if fair enough and I am left longing for more! The mains were also excellent, the steaks butter soft and delicious, and the shrimp salad a lovely, light compensation for the Malakoffs. We had the oriental red orange vanilla ice cream for dessert, and loved every second of our stay. If you go to Auberge de Luins, and I would strongly urge you to do so, take the green salad, it’s haunting me."
