Smart room,hushed tones and young,good looking service.This would be a special occasion venue for most of us,but we visited as there was a storm outside.The food and wine were all good,as was the service,but overall we felt it lacked character and spark.

Cena per festeggiare una laurea: gestito benissimo dalla manager degli eventi (Anastasya), servizio impeccabile in sala, tutti prontissimi a venire incontro ad eccezioni e piccoli imprevisti, oltre ad una atmosfera bellissima. Portate semplici, ma molto ben presentate e soprattutto buonissime.

Bellissima serata al 59 Restaurant Bistro, iniziata con un calice di ottimo champagne comodamente seduto nel salottino in riva al mare. Location suggestiva e formale, non a caso è il ristorante dell’hotel a 5 stelle. Mi sono affidato completamente al maitre Samuele che ringrazio per la sua professionalità e cortesia. We decided to go for a taste meny of fish. That was terrible decision. We have ben eating menus many times but this was a total disaster when in comes to taste. Some of the courses was hardly eatable. The wine and the service perfect but a place like this should never ever present a meal like this. The wine was presented perfect. In the light that we often eat in restaurangs with one or more stars i Guide Michelin it was a clear disappointment. You have to work hard to resolve. Stayed four nights in the hotel. Had two dinners here. First one was fabulous. Sylvia took great care of us. Had a nice bottle of Montepulciano from the local area. Shared the raviolis stuffed with cod with a tomato and all of sauce and the Tagliatta of beef. Both excellent and flavorful. Prices are a little high but by sharing we kept things under control also had a mixed salad which was excellent. 91 euro total. Decided to eat there the second night because we were tired from touring to Urbino. Had a very nice meal but not as good as the first one. Started with sharing the tagliatelle pasta with shrimp and tomatoes. It was excellent! Then shared the white fish entrée. It was very good but...

Tappa obbligata per i buongustai amanti del lusso accessibile, il '59 Restaurant Excelsior di Pesaro (precedentemente Lido) è un locale che mira ad essere raffinato ed elegante. Le intenzioni sono buone, purtroppo non mancano sbavature sia in tema di servizio, buono ma migliorabile, sia per quanto riguarda le proposte culinarie. Premettendo che il mangiare è ottimo ed i prodotti utilizzati sono al top di gamma, da un ristorante (per quanto estivo) che fa riferimento all 'Excelsior si ha il diritto di aspettarsi molto di più.
