"My friend and I went for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. The staff were very welcoming and gave us plenty of time to enjoy our food between courses, which was great because we ended up having 3 courses! The food was delicious, well-cooked with a great selection of fresh vegetables. We started with cheese and leek croquettes, which came with a spicy dip, and were delicious! For our main course, we had roast beef. My friend had it rare and I wanted mine cooked a little more, which they did without any issues - very pleased about that. The roast beef was served with a huge Yorkshire pudding, tasty roast potatoes, 3 fresh vegetables, and a delicious gravy. For dessert, I had the salted caramel tart which had the thinnest pastry and was rich and delicious. My friend had the pecan tart, which looked lovely and she said tasted as good as it looked. We didn't feel rushed at all, which was lovely. They also had another section of the restaurant where you could dine with your dog, which was a great idea. I would highly recommend this place for a roast or a snack with a relaxing atmosphere."

We only had beverages, but the treats in the case looked yummy. Husband’s cappuccino was very good and my hot chocolate was rich, delicious and not too sweet. They offer vegan and gluten-free items as well.

This restaurant offers fresh and healthy choices, including delicious smoothies. I especially enjoy their bagels and soda bread selections, and the cakes are absolutely fantastic. The staff is pleasant and the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly.

We had heard good things about this place so went to try for ourselves and we were not disappointed, there was a great selection of sandwiches and cake. I had a salt beef and gherkin bagel, blissful, and my partner had a Brie and fig toasted baguette equally good, and the bread and butter pudding cake was a revelation, a pot of Yorkshire tea and a charming waitress you could not ask for more

Reading the other reviews on here I believe I may have just come on a bad day. £7.50 for an incredibly small breakfast sandwich without any sauce with burned bacon, overcooked egg and tough bread. Took them about 25 minutes to get around to serving it while a small Scottish gentleman frantically ran around shouting “2 minutes “ in every direction to just about anyone who would listen. I certainly wouldn’t be recommending this establishment to anyone

I had a delightful lunch with my parents at this restaurant on Wednesday. The freshly made veggie salads, quiches, and sausage rolls looked very appetizing. My dad loved the beet smoothie and we all enjoyed the quiet and friendly atmosphere. We ordered the same main dish, but the salads were served on a large plate for sharing, which was perfect for our small appetites. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for fresh homemade, healthy food without the overwhelming choices of a lengthy menu.

"Having been raised at the knees of Caribbean and African women, sometimes I’m just in need of some soul food. I’ve often gone past Mullins and seen that it is busy, and looks bright, clean, warm and friendly. And it is. The decor works really well. Low-key, warm and welcoming. Music is a soothing stream of lilting Caribbean classics. The waiting staff are lovely. So friendly. And the menu looks great. There isn’t too much of it, and it is quite hard to choose because it all sounds amazing. Price points are really good. But. The food is genuinely terrible. I went for a Creole fish stew. I don’t know how you can make a stew without flavour. When you are cooking things slowly and together, flavour infuses flavour. But not here. This was a good sized portion of piping hot well presented food. But my God it tasted awful. Basically chopped potato surrounded by small lumps of bland unidentifiable white fish, half a dozen mussels, some of which were still closed, and therefore inedible, and three flavourless prawns in shells. There was a pinch of Samphire on the top, and this was the sum total of the vegetables I could find. It came in what I can only describe as a thick red sauce. If there was tomato in it, there was no flavour to it. It was highly salty, and this was the dominant flavour throughout. The fish had no flavour of fish, and it was intensely spiced in a lip plumping way. Essentially, it was all heat and salt. With a slight tang of gents toilets. I suspect this was from the mussels. I did raise the blandness twice with the waiter, and the strange unpleasant toilet flavour. He said he would tell chef. And that was that. No feedback on the dreadful flavour other than that it was all fresh. I ate the entirety of the meal because I had travelled a long way and had not eaten. I saw it simply as fuel. It was not enjoyable. I paid and left. Mullins is so close to getting everything right, but a restaurant is its food. I’m not going back."
