"I've been seeing the club for years. After uncommon experiences in quality and having read the previous reviews I feel to arrive at a conclusion: You must be lucky to find the moment when the cook is present, which is most likely not always present. In two people, this evening we spent €94: on appetizer, wine cellar and dessert nothing to laugh. Great disappointment the coastline: meat clearly badly cooked, probably put on a still cold plate that made it turn out almost boiled (I tend to specify that the quality of the meat felt to be as good as always, the problem was precisely in cooking). Despite the signalling and the advance of the dish, there has been no alternative, nor sincere apologies (they do not have the ability to complain) nor a discount on the total. It would take very little not to let us go away with the bitter in the mouth for this coast of delicious meat but ruined by cooking. "I piatti tradizionali della tradizione dell'Oltrepo Pavese interpretati con una delicatezza e un rispetto per i sapori, rari da trovare! Abbiamo particolarmente apprezzato la crema di piselli con aringhe e formaggio di capra, il collo d'oca ripieno di foie gras e zuppa di tartara, una ricetta menzionata da 'Artusi. Il servizio è caratterizzato dall'attenzione al cliente e dal calore cortese di chi vi accoglie con ospitalità. Quando entri, ti senti come se fossi in salotto. Molto ben gestito, tra l'altro, la scelta di mantenere uno stile sobrio e tradizionale e, allo stesso tempo, elegante nella sua semplicità. So o si evitano con successo quelle scelte di finto-rustico-tradizionale o minimal- sensista che negli ultimi vent'anni hanno devastato i locali del nostro ristorante proponendo scelte estetiche senza anima. Bravi! Per tornare a provare gli altri piatti"

"As soon as it was possible to put the nose out of the house I had to please also the palate. I did it again from the Friends of Il Melograno where I rediscovered the flavors I had not forgotten. The cutter of homemade sausages remains unsurpassed, even more if accompanied with the homemade bread. Salame, cup and pancetta extraordinary and difficult to find also in other well-appointed premises. The tortelli prepared properly and as it used to be represent the strong dish of the restaurant and regardless of the fillings that are all excellent. The lasagna to asparagus, then, is unsurpassed but any description would not make you credit. Second I preferred the turkey roll with scamorza and speck I think it was really tasty and to try. The Bonarda della Casa is to be tasted. It could trouble many local labels. Sweets, even these homemade facts, are to be tasted, around, all. The menu includes many other specialties that come from gastronomic recipes of Olrepo pavese with Emilian inflections especially for the first dishes and for the fried dumpling really exceptional. Just try to realize you got the right place. Absolutely recommended."
