"The third time in 10 years that we're in Venice and especially for this restaurant, we're going to go to Burano. Al Gatto Nero is worth more than making this move. We met the host. Max back, and he can be proud of it with his boss that after 10 years, there's still the same quality first-class selection of seafood and fish on the menu. Well. That's all I have to write about. Go experience this yourself is my message. Enjoy! The third time in 10 years that we have been in Venice and dropped down to Burano for this restaurant. Al Gatto Nero is more than worth making this trip. We'll take the host Max again and he and his boss should be proud that after 10 years there is still the same quality first-class selection of seafood and fish on the menu. Well, I don't need to write much more about it. Go experience this for yourself is my message. !"

A fabulous feast of seafood served by very friendly staff. A reservation is a must if you want to ensure a table. It’s not inexpensive but if you want quality then it’s worth it. Speisekarte ansehen

Even if we had only days to go to venice, we would not be on the island of burano. In December, there are very few tourists. we enjoyed a very sunny time, highlighting the color patchwork. cherry on the cake, a beautiful cradle floating on the lagoon! The taste buds were also very spoiled because we offered a lunch in the famous trattoria al gatto nero'. We did not regret: papal went ricotta, then fritto misto, homemade cake, bottle of ribolla gialla and coffee, all for €. It's not given, but deserved. the staff is charming and the room is decorated lolily.

[burano] one of the islands north of the venice. If you are looking for a quality restaurant, in addition to being seen on the lagoon, this one presents you fish preparations very freshly sinned and very well cooked, tomato pasta more palourdes for example I eat rather gluten free but how to resist Italian pasta! very tasty and the rest at the same level; everything is very good and very well treated. the boss and the care staff. the price ? attention, the good things have a price to be alert to the card , all pay revenge even the bread , however it happens that you are offered the appero. or a digestive.

After years of traveling to Italy on business and eating there so many times, Gatto Nero is definitely my favorite restaurant in Italy. It combines the very best fresh produce with an unbeatable taste of real Italy. Just to name a few: scampi and pasta allo scoglio (seafood pasta . They have a very specific taste in their sauce that you cannot find anywhere else, a family recipe. We have been there many times, and a few hours after leaving, we are already talking about the next visit... That says it all. Good wines (Italy!! , moderate prices for the quality and exceptionality. Of course you have to get there water taxi or public transportation, but it is worth it. Speisekarte ansehen

To start, we were 30 minutes early for our reservation. Massimo, the manager couldn't seat us, but gave each of us a glass of wine while we waited. The restaurant, linens, plates and glasses are gorgeous. Service is fun, friendly and everyone speaks excellent English. If you don't like fish this is not a restaurant for you. We started with a massive bowl of shellfish (muscles, baby clams, razor clams scallops) that was the best I've had, followed by two very large bowls of excellent risotto. We should have stopped at that, but also had the sole and outstanding tirramisu. Fyi, this place is not cheap, but so worth it. Plus Burano is a lovely island, much nicer than Murano. Reservations well i...

We called last minute to see if we can get a reservation. They were fully booked but said if we hurry now then they could fit us in. Super accommodating in trying to get us a table. When we arrived, everyone from the manager to all the staff were so incredibly nice. They told us which fish were caught that day and what their own favorites were on the menu. We ordered the spaghetti with clams, king prawns, and the baked seabass. Everything was so incredibly amazing, out of this world. Spaghetti with clams were cooked perfectly and so fresh. The shrimp was perfect and de-shelled for us. And the seabass came whole, and they cleaned it right in front of us. Everything was so delicious and everyo...

"This is my second review on this place...after The Fork assured me they would resolve the situation following my complaint about the 20% discount that You Sushi would not honour. Food and drink... no problem. Nice enough food. That 's the good bit out of the way. We booked using The Fork and quoted the 20% discount offer on food and drink. I also reiterated this when we arrived and was told that was fine, no problem! On receiving the bill I again pointed out the 20% discount was missing, even though I 'd gone through this on arrival. They played absolutely dumb and refused the discount. I even showed them their website with the discount on it. To no avail, they weren 't interested. I paid, albeit reluctantly, and we left. I took this up with The Fork. All seemed fine and they gave me Yum points since they agreed I was in the right. I pointed out that Yum points are of no use since the closest UK restaurant I could use them is over 200 miles away! They promised to get back to me, resolve the issue with the restaurant etc so I left it with them. Now they 've washed their hands of it! The discount still shows at 20% for each and every day despite them refusing to honour it!! and The Fork have not taken any action against them. This leaves a very bad taste no pun intended and after the cheating restaurant and The Fork 's complete lack of trying to help other than utterly useless Yum points which are as much use to me a 7 dollar note it 's the last time I use either. So..if you do visit this place, be prepared to be conned out of the 20% discount."
