We picked this restaurant because it said it had a view and we were NOT disappointed. A beautiful view of the duomo and watching the daylight fade into darkness was magical. The service and food were both excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Speisekarte ansehen

The view is beautiful, but the cuisine is lacking. The fact that our order was served shortly thereafter indicates that it had been prepared and heated. In addition, they do not have a summer menu; they only serve winter Tuscan dishes, which makes it extremely difficult to make a selection especially during the humid summer evenings. Overall, the interior is extremely unrefined; they need to raise the bar.

We made a reservation for dinner and requested a table with a view. The dining room was indeed an enclosed terrace on the roof of the hotel. If you stood up, you had a view of the Duomo and the Palazzo Vecchio. Unfortunately, seated there was no view except for a rather non descript room with zero ambience. Leandro, our server, was a little on the pretentious side. Our compliments to the chef – the food was delicious. We enjoyed the Zuppa Fiorentina (a pureed vegetable soup), Pappardelle Cinghiale (homemade pappardelle with wild boar sauce) and the Stufato Sangiovannes (Sangiovese stew with roasted potatoes). We arrived a bit late because we couldn’t find the place nothing in the Fork or on the restaurant site and no sign anywhere to let us know it was on the 6th floor of a hotel by another name. The place is beautiful in the pictures all dressed up and invitingly fresh, but in reality, it was a bit shabby and we were seated at a table near a freight elevator in an area lit by an nothing but an old fluorescent ceiling light fixture, stark and cold. The menu was odd and the entrees bland. The bar botched our martinis they were all vermouth, couldn’t taste gin at all… the server kindly removed them from our bill, noticing them untouched on our table, very kind.
