This market in the center of town has everything for a stay in meal while in Siena. Meats, cheeses, breads olives, sweats etc. Well worth a visit.

lazzicheria in the center of siena. the showcase requires the entrance and in reality the entrance is invested by intoxicating aromas of meat and quality cheese. sandwiches have a variable cost based on what you choose the only note was the rudeness of the staff.

incredible is the word to describe the meat bread filled with bits of meat and cheese. As you walk in, the scent of fresh goods caress your nose and make you want to try everything.. we purchased the wheel of the bread, it was heavily filled with delectables. It is a small place, and they say great things come in small packages, this applies. I would make a special trip just to purchase this bread.

I could see lots of people eating snacks outside, so probably most of the reviews will talk about that, but this is really a salumeria and it has incredible products. The Cina Senese is fantastic; the cheeses are wonderful; the whole experience is over-the-top. We went here twice, once talking to the hired hand (in the morning) who was also knowledegable and helpful, and a second time with the boss in the late afternoon. Highly recommended for salumeria. We have been very welcome in this charming boutique where should I say Paradise for the epicureans, we no longer know or give head so much we are surrounded by all kinds of appetizing dishes as much as the others This place breathes Italy. In bonus what seems to be the boss has concocted a little surprise antipasti (without buying a lot of things) So we tasted a assortment of charcuterie, cheese, olives, truffle, all on an oiled focaccia bread, a delight!! I write this review the eyes still filled with stars and fingers always oiled and fat. Thank you.

Purely by accident we walked by this little charcuterie that turned out to be a delightful surprise. The business card states that it has been open since 1889. This is a standing-room-only marvelous place with superb cheeses, Tuscan charcuterie, antipastos, wine and great bread. Attended by owners that could not be more gracious as well as entertaining. They do a brisk take out business as we were able to observe since we decided to eat-in enjoying the wonderful aromas that permeate the place. I will say it accommodates a maximum of six persons. NOTE: No Photos were allowed by the owners

Met a pastry chef from Copenhagen who insisted we check out this place. I'm a food blogger, so I had to go in. This chef said he and his girlfriend spent hours eating and drinking with the owner and had planned on going back for more that evening! My husband and I had just eaten, so we weren't interested in lunch, but we had to go in. It's very dark and smells like charcuterie which my husband couldn't handle, so we had to leave. But one of the employees was filling jars of expensive black truffles piled high in an enormous scale. This place is the REAL DEAL. An no pictures are allowed, but I think I got one of the truffles.
