"We went for lunch. This is a no frills cafe. The service was cheery, the menu is simple and varied and there is a good daily menu too. There was a choice of three chicken dishes, a pork dish, chilli, meatballs and a pasta dish; also the usual baked potatoes and paninis. All looked delicious. We paid £18 for the two of us including two soft drinks. Looks like a good hidey hole for Sunday breakfast. We need more of these independent cafes round London, as the food actually does taste and look homemade! Bottom end of Wimbledon Park Station."

I recently went to Random Walk for breakfast and I must say, the food, service, and the woman who served me were exceptional. I was truly impressed.

Delicious lunch served by friendly staff. Lots of choice of hot and cold food, I would recommend trying it above the usual chains. Also very good value.

This friendly and inviting cafe has the best home from home for for miles. Always a great choice of hot and cold dishes. Great salads and gluten free options. Delisious cakes too. And the best bit about it all its all homemade. Speisekarte ansehen

Sampled their rolls and sandwiches, not at the cafe, per se, but at Wimbledon Village Club who sell some of their rolls and sandwiches, behind the bar. Brie and tomato roll and Egg Mayo with Tomato were both excellent indeed. Their Brie with Onion Marmalade sandwich wasn't great the combination doesn't really work for me, after trying it but it's all subjective at the end of the day.

After deciding to forgo the lunch line at the nearby Woodman, we ended up at this restaurant instead. Just as others have mentioned, it was a bit challenging to locate, but we stumbled upon it by chance. The staff was lovely, and we enjoyed a delicious meal in a cozy and relaxed atmosphere at a very reasonable price. Now that we know about this hidden gem, we will definitely be returning in the future. Speisekarte ansehen

We ordered chicken goujons for the kids, but they were overcooked to the point of being rock hard and inedible. The service was slow and awkward, and my breakfast was so bad that I could not finish it. The toast was burnt and looked like the end pieces of a loaf, missing a corner inexplicably. I have attached photos of the disappointing meals. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant. Save yourself the disappointment and look for dining elsewhere.

Staff are absolutely fantastic, had a lovey breakfast and a cappuccino. The layout is quirky and great seeing all the photo prints hanging that you can purchase! It’s a little hard to find from the high street as it’s lower down towards Durnsford road and looks like it should be part of a library so easily missed if you’re not paying attention, but definitely worth looking for and visiting! It’s just opposite the Co-op store and has Arthur’s Cafe sign on the wall. Will definitely be visiting again!

"only at chez bruce ate, because our original choice to the jubilee dinner (thames river cruise) was cancelled at short notice after we had already booked our hotel: in wandsworth. instead of canceling the whole trip to london, I decided to try cb and see if they could fit us as they were only about 30 minutes away from our hotel. it was a Tuesday night when we were able to get in. I have bruce poole cookbook so was very excited to taste the restaurant and eating was really good. very similar to la trumpet in chiswick and I think they share. my starter of enoki mushroom salad with romaine, rump and comte was enormous. my cousin also thought her makrelenrillettes were first class. we have rejoined our head; I choose the hain that was outstanding again. my cousin complained that her pork was too much meat and not enough of something else. she was again on board with the dessert of white chocolate jerk and rusty ice cream. I had the cheeseboard that was good, but I had better. good wine list, with a little decent half bottle. However, the bottle was ordered by pomerol i was not available, but the sommelier hit an alternative, cheaper bottle that was very good. brot was very nice. service was okay, not great. there were some stretch before us to pour wein, to take plates that were both my cousin and I annoyed. but this little grip aside, I thought £200 without wein was pretty good."
