an idyllic place on the riverside countryside with a delicious flambée pie and a lovely service. It's always worth a detour when we're in france. Especially outside in the summer.

Is that a mediocre torch? the torched pie with munster is sprinkled with cumin seeds (oriental), while carvi seeds had to be planted, which traditionally flavor some cheeses and dishes of the region. We came to this following the comments on tripadvisor. in good weather the setting is pleasant and even exceptional for a riverside meal under an imposing tree (we go up time) and if we are not demanding on comfort. The staff is young and pleasant, the food is correct for the price.For an aperitif in the evening with flamekueches, we went there several times during our stay, than good memories.

We were there on a Saturday afternoon with 2 children. half of the tables were not occupied. 3 young women ran without goals through the tables. our table was completely ignored. No visual contact was possible with the ladies to report that we were there too. When after 20 minutes no one was with us and the table 5 that followed us was already served, we got up and walked 30 meters further. Maybe they don't like the kids in this restaurant.

our group had torch pie (traditional and goat), covered sauerkraut and duck magret. food was very good and sitting under a huge dish at the edge of the canal was very pleasant. the weak point was the extremely poor service. all the staff who passed were all nice, but we sat down for a while at a dirty table before a waitress came, thanked us for waiting, gave us menus, took our order of drinks and recovered the money from the previous occupants. someone else brought the drinks and no one came to clean up the spilled food and dirty dishes.
