"We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and ambience of the restaurant. We ordered all seafood and the quality was fresh (though I am not sure about the lobster pasta). It was lovely to dine alfresco in the piazza. The pizza also looked great too. A few things that left a sour taste to the night. The music was too loud even though I loved the 80’s music, it’s also not a good look when the manager has a cigarette in his mouth serving and one pet hate of mine Do not rip your customers off and charge more than what the seafood actually weighed. The seafood is charged by weight. I work in the restaurant industry and even though it happens all the time, this is ‘theft’."

"Nothing to complain about the food, but the ignorance of the owner is out of place and the prices are exaggerated. Spend 100 euros for 2 with 1/2 liter of wine in a jug, (15) euros for four, I'm saying four punterelle, I'm not saying the rest. Then when I go to pay I ask why (now all restaurants do this) neither a coffee nor a bitter is offered. Heavens above, the owner's louse immediately began to turn red with anger. However, in order not to dwell on it, there was a big argument with this ignorant gentleman who must thank the Chinese gentlemen (half the place was occupied by them) if it still remains open. Then there are the foolish Italians who allow themselves to be fleeced just to say I eat at the Fontana. I usually go out to dinner 3 to 4 evenings a week, I'm certainly not a poor person, I'm just saying that it is courtesy and kindness towards the customer to offer a coffee or a bitter. I already know how the owner will respond to this advert of mine and given his ignorance I put myself on his level.... I hope that the money he earns will all be paid in medicines. Capri Ugo. "We turned to the restaurant to celebrate two birthdays in a unique evening. The professionalism, attention and seriousness made the occasion truly special. The food was excellent, the room impeccably set; we were more than 40 people in the room used just for us: music, food and absolute friendliness. Maximum attention for people with intolerances. "Service was a little slow, however it was incredibly busy! The staff are extremely kind and friendly, and speak very good English in case your Italian isn 't up to scratch. The food is wonderful! You can tailor a tagliere board with a selection of appetizers including salami, porchetta, crostini and cheeses, or you can take a set tagliere board if you wish. For a second course, I highly recommend their 'bowl ' with potatoes, cheese, roast beef and truffle sauce! A gem in the great city of Prato!!
