Freshly cooked fish and chips. Bought as part of the crazy golf combo and well worth the money.. friendly staff, great produce and throughly recommended.

Came here again for food before seafront holiday activities. We had fish and chips last time but had breakfasts today. The food and service was excellent and great value too. Highly recommend…perfect!

Despite having dozens of chip shops in Hastings this is the only place that cooks them in beef dripping (that I know of) the result is hands down the best fish and chips you’ll get in the area, by a mile! Speisekarte ansehen

A friendly place for fish and chips. The portions of chips maybe a little small but the fish is a good size and ten pounds is a very reasonable price. The outside tables are clean and the staff are always outside sweeping up. Its always busy but worth the short wait for the food

Long queue (as everywhere due to May Day Bank Holiday) but efficient service and worth waiting for. Delighted that the chips are fried in beef dripping and that they do gravy. Made this Northerner very happy. Best chips in Hastings (I didn't have fish this time) and possibly south of Birmingham!

This is the best place to get your fish and chips. I’ve always moaned about the fish and chips in hastings , to me they always had a weird after taste left from the oil they had been cooked in. At last though I’ve found a fish and chip shop that cooks in beef dripping my home town in Suffolk every fish and chip shop cooked with dripping) , gosh they taste amazing. I stopped here 11/2/23 been before had great service fantastic experience before yesterday I wasn’t let down still great service they have had a very nice refit done from my last visit and it’s fantastic what they have done is great love the ceiling they have done nice touch so if you find your self in Hastings go check this little gem of a place on Hastings seafront by the crazy golf great place for a hot drink and a cake or maybe try there fish and chips kids wellcome love me cheeky in Kent glen 100/100 stars

On a visit to Hastings we wanted to have the typical norm, Fish Chips. We went to the Beach Retreat as its close by the beach and sea. Trip advisor rated it highly but ours wasn't. It was awful. We went to the beach to eat ours but it was that bad I would have been ashamed to give it to the gulls. The mushy peas tasted dreadful, old and stale and the fish was VERY, Very small and so over cooked it was rock hard. The chips were passable but so under seasoned. I wont be going back. My advise is to go somewhere else even if it costs a little more.

Fantastic, I’d walked past this shack a few times and every time I walked past I said they smell so good. The look of the shack is not somewhere I think would serve quality fish and chips, I wouldn’t normally stop somewhere like this,just reminds me of a fair ground stall, how wrong was I. Went back later in the day, served by extra polite staff, ordered 2x fish and chips 2x cod bites and chips mushy peas and a saveloy for the 7 year old saveloy critic. Was given a pager and told would be 10minutes, pager buzzed and we went to collect, everything we had was fresh and cooked to perfection the fish batter was so crispy, the fish was lily white, everyone tucked in and said how good it was We e...
