I’ve just been for an enjoyable meal at Bel Pease. The food was of good quality and nicely served. The waiter completed the evening with his charm and humour.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. We used a group deal and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. It felt like we had stepped into Italy. We will definitely be returning to this great place!

We used a Groupon deal at this fantastic restaurant. The owner was very friendly, and we both enjoyed an excellent meal. The drinks were reasonably priced, and the antipasti and garlic bread covered in cheese were delicious. The highlight was the salmon and seafood spaghetti. We definitely plan on returning.

We arrived and were shown to our table. We were then given menus to choose from, I picked a Prawn Cocktail and my husband had a Bruschetta Both very nice. I then chose a fish and tagliatelli dish and husband had a pasta dish both were very tasty. I had a glass of wine and my husband had a pint of lager. The owner and the waitress were very helpful. We found that there was a car park at the back for the restaurant, but access was not for the faint hearted, and very narrow access led to it..

This small Italian restaurant may be easy to overlook from the road, but it offers fantastic food, a wonderful host in Lorenzo, and beautiful wine. It serves authentic Italian dishes made by authentic Italians, and we were impressed by every dish on the regularly changing menu. This month, they have added pizzas with real handmade bases, not store-bought. We are already planning to return next month, and even my husband indulged in dessert, which is a rare treat for him. Thank you, Lorenzo, for providing such a wonderful dining experience at this hidden gem of a place.

Went not knowing what to expect and on a Groupon. Having seen a couple of Groupon reviews of Bel Paese, it 's probably worth stating my take on Groupon. For me, it 's a starting point, not the entire evening. A controlled cost to a greater degree. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. Firstly, the food was great. The frontage isn 't the best, the internal decor isn 't the best either but get beyond that and the 'restaurant chain ' mentality most seem to need these days and try the place. The owner was a good bloke and engaging, the food, as said lovely. The evening wasn 't expensive as a result of the Groupon so go give it a try. Local business and all etc

Within walking distance this was somewhere we wanted to visit. With a 2 course for 2 people voucher we decided Sat night was the night. A cheeky gin at the nearby Bounissima enroute we were looking forward to our Italian meal. It delivered. A humble place with great food, Italian service and a welcoming environment. The voucher was very fair and we were more than happy to pair for the extras... Groupon is after all a starting point and not a free load code! We had a lovely meal and recommend this place whole heartedly to anyone wanting a proper restaurant dining experience and not a chain perfection meal that will go bust next week. It’s easy to miss this little gem. From the outside it is unassuming but, once inside, Lorenzo carries you along on a wave of hospitality. His friendly chatter, inviting menu, warm and cheerful atmosphere is uplifting; I had been transported from a dark, empty street to a little bit of Italy. Being vegetarian, l expected a restricted menu and, it’s true to say, the menu suggested limited choice for me. However, l was soon tucking in to a generous starter of cheese-topped garlic bread. We were searching out paces to eat in Stapleford, and by a lucky chance decided to try this place, Bel Paese out. Its great! Quite quaint and small, run by really nice Italian folk, husband and wife I guess. The waitress was really fun and chatty, and made us feel welcome immediately. We had a starter of Antipasto, which was lovely, just as it should be, and the main courses were fine, partner has linguine and I had a chicken and prawn dish.
