"I visited on Sunday to go for a bottomless brunch with some friends, on arrival we were seated and given menus and the waitress told us they had some shortages due to a delivery not coming in. However, when saying what they were out of, sausages avocado and waffles, it wiped out a-lot of the dishes on the already limited menu for bottomless brunch. items such as sausages and avocado which when your one of the first customers in the restaurant on a Sunday having pre-booked as-well seems a bit unorganised in my opinion especially as their are 3 supermarkets in walking distance. i wouldn't normally make a fuss about this sort of thing especially working in hospitality myself but i have been to the S&L 3 times now and every time they seem to not have something quite important. i went a few months ago with my boyfriend and they didn't have most of the cocktails offered on the menu which was very disappointing. and when our food came out they didn't have any ketchup or mayonnaise. however, on all occasions visiting the staff have been very friendly and attentive in offering a round of drinks whenever our glasses looked empty and the food we have received has been lovely and been delicious. It just seems as though there is a management issue when it comes to ordering stock."

"We had a lovely dining experience and thoroughly enjoyed all the appetizers. I ordered the burrata, which I could have easily shared. My partner went for the two large speck-wrapped little pigs, while our son had the garlic flatbread, which was fresh and delicious. My partner and I shared the Santa Stack burger, which was fantastic. Our son opted for the kinderburger. The service was excellent, provided by a charming gentleman with shoulder-length hair."

"We've been a few times and have always had great food and service. That said, on our last visit a couple of weeks ago our waiter seemed to only want to engage with me and not my partner, even when it was her who was paying. So that was disappointing. Other than this one experience we've loved going to Côte Newbury and will chalk off the one less than stellar experience to a one off and try again another time."

"Make sure you arrive at this restaurant with a big appetite because the portion sizes are incredibly generous. From the cured meat starter to the spaghetti and meatballs in a deliciously spicy tomato sauce, everything was tasty and satisfying. The strawberry cheesecake was a decadent treat to finish off the meal. The meats were fresh, the pasta perfectly cooked, and the service was excellent. Despite the busy atmosphere, the Italian hosts were incredibly friendly. Make sure to book ahead and enjoy a fantastic and authentic dining experience."

"This restaurant is a hidden gem near the train station. The mussels from the specials menu were fantastic, and the pasta was delicious. The drinks are a bit pricey, with an Aperol costing £10, but the food is worth it. Be sure to order a side of bread with your meal, as portions may be smaller. The staff is friendly and the interior is charming."
