"Some friends convinced me to spend an afternoon here. Just the drive to the village is amazing with the incredible surrounding views. Parking near the entrance is a bit difficult but by expanding our search we discovered ample space in a nearby residential district. A short walk through a beautiful park leads you to the old, walled town and through the city gates. Upon entry you are treated to the amazing aroma of the Pecorino cheese that Pienza Is famous for. The main Street is lined with shops of varying interest. There is an excellent museum. There are several places to eat either a quick snack or a full meal. Wandering near the walls will treat you to spectacular views of the Tuscan countryside. We heard drums playing and followed the sound to discover a group of youth practicing for a flag tossing performance. A wonderful afternoon awaits you in Pienza!"

"dove cominciare: Arriviamo la sera del mio compleanno, accolta da una cameriera molto gentile e molto bella che, non appena scopre che è il mio compleanno, ci accompagna al tavolo da cucina privato proprio sopra la porta del villaggio di montichiello con una splendida vista sulla valle di orch. vista folle, benvenuto aperitivo con bollicine ed entrè dello chef moraino di vicenza, persona eccezionale e dal cuore enorme che ci ha seguito tutta la sera. Piatti eccezionali, oltre agli antipasti nella foto abbiamo la cena con pere all'aglione e pici allo ragù bianco (non dimenticabile). abbiamo chiacchierato tardi e lasciato con lo chef come amici con mille consigli sulla valle e luoghi da visitare. anche il caffè era inimitabile. tutto accompagnato da un rosso chiaro e oca. prezzo onesto e con vista e cucina del genere assolutamente approvato. Voto in eccesso."

"La Piezzetta is a super nice restaurant located in the center of Pienza. We were welcomed by one of the waiters and were given a nice table in the terrazza. We arrived earlier for an aperitivo and ordered 2 spritz that were served with cheese, melon and prosciutto. For dinner we chose the gnocchi and the sirloin steak. The gnocchi was okay (not memorable) but the sirloin steak was really good. For dessert we shared the torta della nona that was recommended by our waiter and that we would recommend! We would definitely come again to La Piazzetta and recommend it to other people visiting Pienza."
