Discovering this restaurant on our visit to Varenna was our highlight! The service was excellent, the ambiance is cozy and the pesto lasagna we ordered was delicious. The only thing that we didn’t like so much was the borgovino pasta but besides that everything was great!

Ottima esperienza in questo piccolo ristorante nel borgo di Varenna. Il cameriere gentilissimo che mi ha accolta mi ha dato consigli per gustare un ottimo missoltino (pesce di lago) con polenta accompagnato da buonissimo vino. Sono stata trattata benissimo. Lo consiglio vivamente

5 stelle per tutto. Premesso che Varenna è magica di suo, questo ristorantino rende un pranzo o una cena ancora più magico. Locale piccolo ma originale, pochi posti (ma buoni), ideale per coppie o piccoli gruppi di amici. Cucina a vista con preparazione in tempo reale. Ristorante tipico nei vicoli di Varenna. Come dimensioni piccole ma ha il vantaggio di rendere il tutto un po’ più intimo. Il primo piatto ci è piaciuto, caratteristico e con il vino della cottura dosato perfettamente anche se il formaggio si sentiva poco purtroppo. Il tiramisù era eccellente e il caffè buono. Purtroppo il POS non era funzionante ed il coperto di 3€ mi sembra troppo. Servizio cortese.

I put a lot of thoughts on the fact that this restaurant has 4 stars at the time of this review. Their food was mediocre. I mean, mediocre for Italian standards. I assume it was the tourists that were dazzled the vibe of the restaurant. They had this classy look and the waiter there was also one of those ‘classy’ ones. If you want to have a nice, romantic evening go there! Not for food though, they are just fine.

small but very welcoming, with retro atmosphere. friendly and helpful staff. in the specific case we were a little short with the times, we asked to be able to eat quickly and we were satisfied. between the tagliatelle of the ordinations Burgundy and cotolette shrimp and zucchini. really good and delicious, besides being plentiful. excellent value for money. only defect that being on the road does not have the lake view, but only get up after the meal and make two meters and the problem is solved.
