Borrodale - Speisekarte

From the scallops starter to the seared salmon main over seafood linguine…. I truly enjoyed my meal. My friends also had very high praise for the venison curry and the halibut mains. I hope to be back. Well done chef!

Enjoyed an excellent Seafood Chowder made with a vast selection of marine life. A very comfortable lounge bar, manned by a most hospitable and informative lady, from whom I learnt much of Hebridean Life. Most interesting.

Had a bar supper which was plentiful. However ordered a langoustine starter which was three or four langoustine split in half. Would have been better and easier and clearer to eat if served whole. Also had breaded scampi but the scampi had not been cleaned sloppy!

Visited twice in a weeks fishing holiday Bar food excellent. Particularly the chicken thighs and steak Staff esp Sheena good fun We also visited Lochboisdale where the time taken to deliver food was painfully slow Would definitely recommend Borrodale We will be revisiting next year...

We had a very comfortable room with a jacuzzi bath. We ate dinner in the restaurant which was fine with a large menu. Breakfast was unremarkable but fine. We had difficulty through the night with doors rattling explicably and when mentioned in the morning this was quickly pleasantly and efficiently dealt with and a refund given. I would happily return.

Food was excellent and I would absolutely recommend it for eating out . Starters were great Haggis , Stornaway Black Pudding and Mash … WONDERFUL Main was incredible MonkFish Tails and the portions were HUGE and delicious … which is why I couldn’t have dessert ! Service was a bit slower than I would have liked , atmosphere was none existent trying to get another drink didn’t happen and had to ask for the bill several times BUT putting all that aside (and that can be easily rectified) it was fantastic !

Stopped here enroute from Eriskay to Harris. It's a large hotel. During our stay CV issues were well adhered to and certain areas of the hotel were closed off. The bedroom was above average for a double. The bathroom had been refurbished, whirlpool bath with rainfall shower over it. You pre-order breakfast the night before, continental or cooked. The evening meal was very good. Tables well spaced out and generous portions, we had the scampi and chinese chicken curry. The young staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. The impression we got was that due to its location most people use it for one night enroute south or north.

I wanted to have a nice meal on my last night and was not disappointed. The menu is extensive and specials also supplement the choice. I had the rack of lamb and it was awesome. So good I didn't mind being stared at by a rude fellow diner while I picked up the bones to make sure I had enjoyed every last bit of meat (I know it's not ladylike but wasting good food is a bigger crime! Given that you haven't got much choice in this area I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food on offer this place must get credited with being one of the best food experiences I had on my 10 day holiday.
