Another amazing visit to The Bridgewater Arms. A very busy Friday evening, great atmosphere, lovely staff, fantastic food. What more can you ask for? Well done to the team xx

Yesterday had lunch with eleven members of family,couldn’t fault it service great and not one complaint , just one small hiccup the manager sorted it out quickly so we left all happy well done Bridgewater keep it up .

After a long walk from Aldbury we stopped off for a drink bar snacks.. Very warm and welcoming Alfie the bar man was very friendly and helpful organising a taxi back to where we were staying…pub was very busy we didn’t eat but the food looked delicious will return again Speisekarte ansehen

Been coming to the Bridgewater Arms now for many years and seen managers come and go. They seem to have struck gold now with their team. The food and ambience was very good and made to feel very welcome on arrival. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back now for lunches with friends. Thanks fora lovely afternoon.

Had a very good festive lunch today definitely my best of the festive season. There was plenty of food and all perfectly cooked. The turkey was so moist often something which can disappoint. Lovely service, unhurried and we were allowed to take plenty of chatting time between courses. Very reasonably priced. Thank you!!

We had a 'Family Reunion ', with 23 guests attending, plus a Zoom link to other family members in Australia. The meal and all arrangements were excellently provided, even though our timetable slipped considerably! The staff were all very friendly (and tolerant). Decided to visit the Bridgewater Arms for Sunday lunch as it’s local to us. Sadly it was not a great experience and not anywhere near the Alford Arms (frithsden) or White Horse (Bourne End) experience. Both wines that my husband and I requested were out of stock even though they were recommend as food accompaniments on the menu. The veg with the roast was tiny and over cooked, the Yorkshire had clearly been made hours previously and was a flat and like cardboard! Will not be visiting again!

We came in as a table of 12 with our two dogs for our festive fayre christmas family meal. The team made us feel extremely welcome and were so accommodating, they made us a lovely social table in the bar to allow our dogs! The food was too die for, i had the beef bourgiugnon for my main, followed by a delicious bread and butter pudding. Jonny, Madie and Shelby served us, they were an absolute delight, and an absolute credit too the pub. Nothing we asked for was too much. This is the best restaurant experience we have had in a long while, we have even decided to make it one of our regular pubs! We will 100% be back very very soon. Thank you!!

This is possibly my favorite pub in the Chilterns. Great food at decent prices, beautiful setting a truly traditional country pub!! Concerned recently however to receive a £100 fine for parking in the pub parking when coming for supper (when 2/3 months before when we ate there we were told the parking charges were not in force . When I entered the pub this past weekend at 7 on a Friday night, I was shown past the queue to our table and so did not see any signs asking to insert the number plate. Neither was anything mentioned about it being active. (And I clearly wasn’t going for a hike at 7pm! I will contest the fine and hope that as a paying customer (which I can prove I will have the fine... Speisekarte ansehen
