"Burley Manor has a lovely setting and great views outside and inside the restaurant. We went for Sunday lunch and the food was generally good but they didn't get some details right. The bread accompanying the terrine and potted salmon starters was so thin and crispy that it was quite difficult to eat. Some of the vegetables and Yorkshire puds were burnt. The desserts had creme fraiche added instead of clotted cream and had to be sent back, at which point the waitress came over repeatedly to ask why we had sent the food back and what we actually wanted, rather than apologising and sorting the problem. It looked like a good value meal, but won't be going back."

A lovely experience all round. Great service, tasty delicious food and with at least 50 deer on the lawn in front of the hotel, what an experience! Warm cosy with open fire.

We visited for Sunday Lunch. We enjoyed our meal, food was well prepared and presented. Staff were very friendly and attentive. For us as a couple, what the restaurant lacked was atmosphere, which is a shame because that definitely too the shine of Speisekarte ansehen

I visited on Boxing Day and was genuinely impressed. As a local, I've been here a few times before, and I adore the fabulous location and ambiance. The food was definitely the highlight of the visit. Although the menu on Boxing Day resembled a traditional Sunday lunch, it was executed excellently. The staff were exceptional—very friendly and provided great service, making everyone feel welcome.

The personal cooking experience at this restaurant was exceptional. The roast was the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had plenty in my 50 years! It was truly an extraordinary experience; the staff was incredibly professional, attentive, and also wonderfully discreet. I was surprised that the restaurant wasn't packed, as it definitely deserves to be. Overall, it was the best dining experience I've had in the area (and we are locals).
