"The room we were moved to seemed like it hadn't been decorated, giving off a shabby and almost derelict vibe. The waitress seemed unsure about a sauce that was featured on many items on the menu, including my girlfriend's burger. The burger arrived as a sloppy mess on a plate, lacking any garnish and with chips being an extra cost. My girlfriend only ate half of it as it was overly saturated with sauce, leaving no distinct flavor. I ordered chicken wings which were served on a saucer and drowned in too much sauce, with no garnish and lacking any flavor. It was clear that no effort or pride was put into the presentation or taste of the dishes. While I understand that most items are deep fried, they should at least be appetizing. The pub only offered Red Stripe lager on tap, with no bottled beer options. Overall, our experience was disappointing in every aspect, and we have no plans to return to this establishment."

our favorite pub in the forest. great place to visit on bikes or friends and family. the best burgers they find, and a large ever changing selection of drinks. everyone has something new to offer.

Had a really great meal here. Quick, responsive and friendly service. Food super tasty. Great drinks selection. Only improvement I can think of is the ambience in the little cubby room being improved with different lighting

My Favourite pub in Ringwood, always a warm welcome with different beers on tap each time I go (it's a freehouse). Food is superb. Sunday roasts, burgers and chicken wings are my favs. Outside seating area is nice, with heaters when it's cold. Reccomended !

Visited 20/8/23 with a few of my family members and it was a really nice place. The food was delicious, drinks were good price as well as a wide variety, lots of seating areas and the service and staff were quick and very friendly As someone who lives in South Wales, I’m not a local but I will 100% come back again next time I’m in the area!

this pub has a large selection of very tasty ales. I did not go for the famous tribute of st. austell, but I tried an ipa from a local provider: penny brewery. one of the best beers I've had for a long time. on the back is a well-sized grass garden and some interesting artefacts on the walls dedicated to the name of the pubs. I'm going back.

The Railway in Dorset serves the best burgers in the area, however there are some changes that could improve the experience. The pub recently switched back to QR code ordering, which caused some confusion with our order as part of our food was delivered to the wrong table. The prices for self ordering are quite high. On the plus side, the pub did offer us a complimentary round of drinks.

this restaurant is excellent. the service was relatiw fast and they took us friendly by moving us to another table when my friend found the benches a little unpleasant. it was also good that the outside seat area had a cover over it. the burgers were absolutely delicious and were not too fat or ridiculously filled. they have a really nice selection of different types of chips too. we didn't get dessert, but they looked very nice. they also serve local beers. it would have been nice if they sold coffee to after the meal and maybe a few good options that are not burger. but overall this is a great place and I would definitely come back.

"My Wife and I don't travel so well these days but decided to go a little further afield from our usual Highcliffe and Christchurch haunts we live in Mudeford. We went twice in point of fact. The first visit was the 21st June when My wife and I had a quiet Birthday celebration lunch prior to the Family celebration later in the day. It was excellent. We only had the Mains and despite it being busy and not having booked we were served promptly and cheerfully with a round of drinks. My Wife had Chicken Pie and I had Liver and Bacon. Both were excellent and my Wifes vegetables were freshly done. I don't have vegetables. We liked it so much we went back three days later to celebrate our youngest Daughters birthday and again had lunch before the Family celebration later in the day. The meal was as fabulous as three days prior. My Wife had a Chicken Roast, our Daughter had Beef Roast and I had an amazingly well filled Steak and Merlot Pie of the Week. As before the vegetables were freshly done. Unusually for us we also had puddings (Lemon Meringue, Bailey's Cheescake and Apple Tart with Custard. All were excellent. All washed down with Tea and a Latte the former being served in nicely twee Teapots. Total cost £80 for the three of us on the second visit. Worth every penny. All in all First Class and couldn't fault it. Disabled parking nicely located in the front with ample parking for those more mobile at the side and back. Just a note for History buffs. The main building was built in 1853 by John Harrison(? a Carpenter thus the name Carpenters Arms."
