"Visited Pacific for breakfast, which wasn’t cheap at nearly £60 for 5 people. Had to queue for nearly 10 minutes as only one person was taking orders. We were then advised there was a 30 minute wait for hot food. We accepted this, however they obviously meant to say a 50 minute wait as that’s how long it took our food to come out of the kitchen! Some of our party were on a deadline, so this ridiculous wait time basically for eggs, toast and tea cakes meant we were clock watching and feeling stressed rather than relaxed. Maybe they were short staffed, but at least have the decency to be upfront about the amount of time customers will be expected to wait. When the food did arrive, the poached eggs which 3 of us ordered were not runny they were more like boiled eggs. The portions were small, the toast was cold and the tea cakes overdone. I didn’t have the time or energy to mention this to a member of staff and also, disappointingly, nobody checked in with us to ask how the food was. This was a shame as it made our custom feel unvalued. My previous visit before this one was for lunch my food order was forgotten, so other people in my party had to start eating their food while I had to speak to a member of staff to establish where my lunch was. Pacific used to run more smoothly, so maybe our recent experiences have just been unlucky ones."

I wouldn’t visit this garden Center it’s not dog friendly and it didn’t state that on the website! Waste of a journey the garden Center is very small and old.

Food is plonked on the table, fetching condiments is a favour, no hello or how was your meal. When told the man the soup was not nice he just said ok I will tell them no offer to replace or refund. Much nicer local places to go. Speisekarte ansehen

Having received vouchers as a gift we were excited to try out the afternoon tea experience. The acoustics are such that it can appear a noisy environment. Sandwiches fresh. Cakes and desserts very well presented but had lots of fresh cream too much for my taste.

We were unable to dine at this restaurant because they no longer accept cash. This decision may exclude many customers who prefer to use cash as a payment method. There may be more negative reviews in the future from other dissatisfied patrons as a result of this change.

I took my dad to Pacific for Father's Day and we decided to have breakfast there. There was a bit of a wait, but we anticipated that. While we were waiting, my dad had a health issue, but the staff, especially Katie and Hazel, were amazing in helping him and ensuring he was okay. Despite the hiccup, we were able to enjoy our delicious breakfast. Hazel and Katie even went above and beyond by pushing my dad in a wheelchair back to the car. I want to extend a big thank you to both of them for their exceptional service. Speisekarte ansehen

We visited this restaurant for the first time, as we usually go to a nearby garden center cafe. We were disappointed with the breakfast - the scrambled eggs were overcooked, the baked beans were dry, and the hot drinks were overpriced compared to other cafes in the area. Some reviews mentioned that the food took too long to arrive, but we found that it came too quickly for food that was supposed to be 'cooked fresh to order' as advertised on the menu. The selection of cakes looked good, so we may come back for an afternoon visit, but not for breakfast. The staff were not very friendly. However, the garden center itself was well-stocked with a good selection of garden furniture.

Always when visiting family we love a visit to Pacific. Today we thought we would try the breakfast. Staff are really friendly but think today they were a bit short of help. We had to ask for our table to be cleared and the breakfast took a while to come but was good, could have been hotter though. Our drinks order seemed to be forgotten and had to ask and the first person we ask said was busy doing something so we went to the counter and very apologetic and within minutes we had our drinks. To be fair the busy guy did come back 15 minutes later to ask if we had our drinks. A lovely place to wander around and spend, be aware lots of these gifts are cheaper elsewhere but that’s garden centres...

"This was our first visit. I have to remind myself that this is a training environment for students but there should be someone in charge, who is identifiable to direct the students on how to present a menu and how to place a dish in front of customers. However, four courses for £35, amuse bouche counted for one course. Amouse bouche lacked any seasoning, orzo starter, well cooked but again lacked seasoning. My wife had fish, Coley, which was nice. I had chicken breast on a bed of curry sauce with hassleback potatoes. My whole dish was luke warm at best, the curry sauce was overpowering, and the hassleback potatoes were not crispy. The chicken was lovely and moist and I ordered a side of triple cooked chips which were super hot, expensive at £4, I only wish the rest of my dish was that hot. I had cheese and biscuits which consisted of Brie, blue cheese and cheddar together with chutney. My wife had Pain Perdue which was well presented and tasty. The restaurant is more like a cafe, not cosy, so don't choose it if you want a romantic evening. Overall would I go again? probably not. If you are ever near the Lake district try to book a table in the restaurant at Kendal College. On a final note; there is parking on an evening next to the college. Drive up to the barrier and press the call button, security will let you in. The barrier opens automatically on exit."
