"My review is not for Café Rouge, but for Opentable, who I booked through. When we arrived and said we had a booking for two people, they knew nothing of this booking. Apparently Opentable had not updated the bookings, and according to the member of staff, this often happens. It wasn't busy so we were able to get seated anyway, and the service and food was very good as always. I will not use Opentable to make my bookings again, sorry."

Tasty food, small but sublime portion, bit awkward service especially if you have some voucher.

The food is always delicious, although the service may fluctuate. However, I still rate it 5 stars for its fantastic menu.

When we arrived at Cafe Rouge they did not have my reservation down as they said you didn't send my reservation through to them and never do so it was a good job they wasn't fully booked otherwise 8 of us would of been extremely disappointed having travelled an hour there. Speisekarte ansehen

the only problem was the value of a mocktail we had a driver who chose a berry drink which came out as a glass of summer fruits with two raspberries and ice and served in a beaker, i guess cost 10p to produce and sold for over £3.50 unfortunately this is what i will remember of the experience

This was the third time we have been here, starter was good, however two of the three main courses we had were only luke warm, and the third which was the fish cakes was a little dry. This was the worst time, we have had here, however this could have been due to the time the table was booked for

The food was impeccable. ..only criticism I have is that we booked online for an anniversary meal but when we got there they didn't have our reservation on the list..was soon rectified. The table was near the door but they offered to move us if it was a problem but it wasn't. ..staff were brilliant at mk hub. Speisekarte ansehen

Café Rouge at the Hub is great and the staff were very friendly, despite Open Table failing to info them of our New Year's Eve booking! Because of Open Table, we were not informed that there was a set menu for the evening, so the usual starters we looking forward to weren't available, which was disappointing. Next time I will go direct to Café Rouge and miss out Open Table.

The service was very slow,; our drinks took 20 mins to arrive and our food took nearly an hour. It was not that busy there was no excuse. The manager was surly and unapologetic over our experience. I used to like Cafe Rouge as a chain but stopped going as service at our local restaurant became very poor. I persuaded my wife to try this restaurant. I was wrong. Is poor service now standard across the chain?
