The Cariad is a little gem of a place . The are one of the best that I’ve had . The staff are very friendly and courteous. Will always call in for a breakfast. Well worth a visit.

Didnt know this was here, just happened to see someone else go in. So popped in on a Sunday morning for tea and coffee. Very busy little cafe. Lots on offer and the food prices were very respectable. Lots of nice cakes to choose from.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was of top-notch quality and the interior was lovely. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Breakfasts very overpriced, 1Welsh breakfast plus1small breakfast cost £21.75 excluding tea or coffee. No egg with the Welsh Breakfast, Cockles were the tiniest I've ever seen and so were actually tasteless, and I feel they shouldn't have been picked being so small. I wouldn't visit the cafe again, grossly overpriced and overrated.

Areas for improvement include charging extra for alternative milk, which may not be fair to those with lactose intolerance or who are vegan. There was no complimentary cup of tea with breakfast, unlike other cafes in the area. The chairs were uncomfortable for those with back or hip issues, and there was a delay in receiving tap water. Some may find the large portion of mushrooms in the baguette off-putting.

We visited Cariad Cafe on Monday and were very pleased with our experience. We used to be regular customers when the previous owners were in charge, but hadn't had the chance to visit since it changed ownership. The atmosphere was lovely and we enjoyed the interior decor. Our waitress was fantastic, ensuring our order was accurate and accommodating any changes we requested. She even brought a straw for my daughter without us having to ask. It's the small gestures like these that really enhance the overall dining experience. The breakfast was delicious, made with high-quality ingredients and cooked to perfection.
