Decent food, Hygienic. Service needs improvements and the menu needs some refreshment.

Terrible experience. The food was terrible. The restaurant had a large bar but the service was poor and the atmosphere was lacking.

Watch out for fluff and dirt falling from the ceiling the groveis in the ceiling are wide and not cleaned and can easily fall into your food or drinks Speisekarte ansehen

The food was good. Service was OK. I couldn't catch anyone's eye for a while. The waiter got our food wrong but then replaced the dish. Maybe write down what we want next time?

We were disappointed with the restaurant we originally booked, so we came to this establishment instead. They promptly seated us and took our drink order, which included a bottle of delicious red wine, a beer for myself, and a gin and tonic for my companion. The menu offered a variety of options, but we both decided on the sirloin steak - mine cooked blue and my partner's medium rare. We were impressed with the selection of sauces available for the steaks. For starters, we both enjoyed the calamari, which was cooked perfectly. The staff were excellent and friendly. We booked 6 of us in for dinner the night before the Great South Run. We booked for ease as we were staying at the Marriott and thought nice dinner, early sitting and early night. Started well friendly staff nice surroundings but then went downhill. We got some bread and butter eventually after a wait to keep the kids going. Thank goodness we did 50min wait for mains! No complicated dietary requirements and easy menu to produce especially when it wasn’t even busy. Food was Ok steaks not cooked to requests and one was so grisly. I am writing this review after reading some recent reviews, as I believe they do not accurately reflect the quality of the restaurant anymore. I had a fantastic steak with an amazing peppercorn sauce, accompanied by a generous pour of Malbec. The steak was so good that I returned the next night to have it again. Unlike a previous review in August 2022, the chef came out to ensure my medium rare request was cooked to perfection. He even offered to remake the dish or provide a discount if it wasn't to my liking. I was impressed by his genuine concern for his craft. Table for 6 booked for Father’s Day in restaurant . What a disaster ! To start with the place was empty, and we were soon to find out why. We were only offered a choice of 2 tables at the bar area, with a lunchtime snack menu of sandwiches/burgers /fish and chips etc.. (Not a La carte that we had booked). The staff waited until we had purchased 2 bottles of wine £30 each , which were just plonked on the bar, unopened and no ice bucket, and beers before the eventually informed us that there were several things off the menu.
