"My wife and I just had lunch at Chalet Gregorie Restaurant this afternoon and it was a superb experience for us.We ordered the €21.90 set menu, which gave us an entrée, a main and a dessert. We picked the Crème Brûlée de foie gras en cassonade (Crème brûlée of foie gras flambéed with brown sugar) and the Feuilleté d'escargots à la crème d'ail (six snails in garlic cream). My wife preferred the snails as she thought the foie gras was kind of strange because of the sweetness. For me, I thought both entrées were good, but the foie gras definitely won the day. It was a very unique interpretation of the traditional French foie gras and I loved the innovation!For the main course, my wife picked the Duo de St Jacques et crevettes flambées au Pastis (Scallops and shrimps flambéed with pastis) and I picked the Souris d'agneau et son miel (Lamb shank and honey). The lamb shank was definitely a clear winner in this bout. For desserts, we ordered the Chesscake speculoos et son coulis de fruits rouge (Chesscake speculoos and red fruit juice) and the Poires pochées au vin rouge et son sorbet cassis (Poached pears in red wine and blackcurrant sorbet). Both desserts were wonderful and delicious. However, after a heavy meal, I would recommend the poach pears as it is easier on the tummy.Wonderful food at very reasonable prices!And a word about Superman .... He was single-handedly taking charge of the front of the restaurant: receiving customers, taking orders, setting the tables, bringing the food, clearing the food and table, and of course, taking the checks! The restaurant had over 40 covers and I think it was about 75% full when we went in. Very efficient guy, kudos to Nelson!"
