"Some of us were too full for dessert, but those who had it enjoyed sticky toffee pudding drizzled with caramel sauce and served with cream, as well as warm chocolate brownies with hazelnuts. Both desserts were absolutely divine! We all remarked on how tastefully decorated the restaurant was, and we unanimously recommend returning. Thank you for a wonderful meal! "Unfortunately this place is closing down and up for sale. The food is superb, their prices far, far, far too little, waitress who was excellent on our two visits said they're not making it pay after a the increases in utilities, business rates etc..... Put your prices up, you're too cheap. Cuppa tea £1.... Make it £1.40 nobody would mind, your standard English breakfast is a large one and £9 or £10 anywhere else. The OAP (and they've got more money than anybody else) lunch time special, two courses about £9, three course less than £12 with prawn cocktail starter and homemade apple pie dessert... £15 is still very reasonable.... C'mon, do the area a favour, stay open, bump up the prices, keep the same quality food and everyone's a winner."

"Visited Tastebuds for lunch one day whilst on holiday, having seen it throughout the week and thinking it looked nice. The customer service was brilliant and the staff were all really friendly. They had some vegan options on the menu, but the staff were also more than happy to accommodate some slight adjustments to suit. The prices and portions were generous we ordered paninis which came with salad, crisps and coleslaw. We also had lattés which were lovely. The additional outdoor seating area was lovely on a summer’s day too, and the canopy was greatly appreciated when it began to spit with rain. Lovely family feel tearoom with several vegetarian and vegan options in addition to the standard options. Thank you!"

"Visited The Smokehouse whilst on holiday at a nearby local holiday camp. Food is absolutely amazing and so reasonably priced. 3 course meal with drinks and upgrades just over £70 for 2 of us. All the staff are lovely, friendly, polite and professional. Was served by the lovely Michelle who constantly goes out of her way to make sure everything is fine. Talks you through the operation of how things work here and explains before hand if there is something that they do not have on the menu rather than waiting till you order. They don't leave you sitting there waiting for ages as food comes out pretty quickly. 5 star all round service"

"We often visit the area and one of our stops after a walk on the beach has always been the Ship Inn. Sadly, after changing hands in 2019, the pub deteriorated quickly, driving locals and visitors away, eventually closing in October 2022. I’m pleased to say that after coming back up here at Easter, we were thrilled to find that a new local family have now taken over and this lovely local pub is back to what it should be, a lovely locally run pub with good pub food, dog friendly and where you are greeted with a smile. The locals are back to being greeted by name and that’s how it used to be. We don’t tend to visit in the evenings but they often have live music at the weekends. If you ever fancy a drink in a good local pub after a walk on the beach, I thoroughly recommend you give the Ship Inn a try."
