"The venue and ambience were simply spectacular. We have a complete history of the property that really added to all the experience. And the staff was all amazingly friendly and spoke English very well. We were really taken care of. I fought for the evaluation of food. It was pretty good, but for our tastes it was only a little lack of spices/salt. Of course this is all very subjective and others can find It was perfectly seasoned. But the quality of the food was very good. I would definitely return and highly recommend."

Chiostro is in an ancient cloister in Sarteano, a small hilltop town with castle near Montepulciano in Tuscany. The position, ambiance, service and food are all excellent and worthy of high praise. Splendido ristorante che propone squisite esperienze di gusto e bellezza! Il menù proposto attinge alla ricchezza della cucina tradizionale toscana ed italiana. Gli antipasti, i primi piatti ed i secondi piatti sono vere e proprie creazioni uniche ed originali che difficilmente troverete altrove. L’atmosfera del locale antico e curato vi avvolgerà, accompagnando il vostro pasto. Il prezzo assolutamente conveniente! Sicuramente un luogo incantevole che non potete farvi sfuggire!

This hidden gem did not disappoint. We entered through the bar entrance and it appeared to be an unassuming cantina with suspended swing chairs. We were directed to the restaurant area upstairs and to our surprise this opens up to a beautiful open piazza and lovely dining area upstairs overlooking the piazza. The building was an old monastery and it looks amazing. The food and service did not disappoint and this was the best dining experience we had while staying in Sarteano. Do not overlook this little gem.
