Chives - Speisekarte

Lovely little place. Had the home made quiche with bean salad on the side delicious and VERY good value. I'm not a quiche fan, but it was very good. Really friendly, welcoming staff. Thanks

The sandwiches at this restaurant are excellent and are great value for the price. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. If we lived closer, we would definitely become regular customers.

We visited Chives on both days of our recent short break in Aberystwyth and were given a warm welcome by the staff. The sandwiches were excellent and the home made cake delicious. Would highly recommend.

The sandwiches and other menu items were delicious and nicely presented. The staff was quick and efficient, making it a great spot for a lunch break. We decided to sit outside and enjoyed people-watching as we ate.

Lovely freshly made and “home cooked” food. Roast vegetable quiche was delicious as are the wide choice of salads. Generous portions, lovely panini is and flavoursome fillings. Would highly recommend a visit few tables outside so good during COVID 19!

This is without doubt the best place to get sandwiches and lunches in Aberystwyth. All sandwiches are made to order on proper locally baked bread. Delicious home made quiches, cakes and a huge selection of salads as well as hot food. Now that Eastgate is closed to traffic you can eat outside (or inside if it is wet). Very clean and I felt completely safe eating here. It is tucked away in Eastgate (which runs parallel) to the main shopping street. Well worth a visit.

I used to frequent this restaurant when I worked in town and always enjoyed the delicious food and polite staff. However, during my recent visit for nostalgia's sake, I experienced rude and unprofessional service. There was a mistake in my order, which I didn't mind, but the server insinuated that I was trying to get free food. I left without eating, feeling very upset. Perhaps the server was having a bad day, but a simple apology would have been appreciated. Despite the probable delicious food at Chives, I will not be returning.

Althought the food is ok i would like to point out to everyone who doesnt alreday know this, if you go for extras unless they want to pay a lot more money for each item.You will be asked if you want this and that if you say yes they will be extra charge for each item. Its a way fo trying to make you spend more.I only had a baked potato you should have seen my bill!!it ended up to be a very expensive spud! If i had known every item they were offering to put on the plate was a lot extra i certainly wouldnt have said yes to them. I just wnated to let poeple know this incase they thougth the little extras came with the meal.

25/1/23 Popped in here for a light lunch and wasn 't disappointed. The choice is great (see pictures) and very tasty. I opted for the winter veg soup which was a very generous portion filled with numerous veg and flavoured with ginger and chilli (homemade) together with a cheese and onion toastie followed by a pot of tea (which came with hot water. Yay! The whole lot came to less than a tenner which I thought was a bargain and certainly in line with other establishments in the area. If your in the area and like the personal touch instead of the usual 'grab it and go ' that 's on offer then I urge you to visit. All the food is delicious. You won 't be disappointed. 5
