"A place of a superb reputation where we were really very disappointed, very surprised at the rather cold and remote welcome Book a good month in advance, no information about our disposition, what was our surprise when we arrive, we are installed on 2 separate tables for a group of 17 people Côté cuisine no more extraordinary Pork ribs not cooked to see stirring and some dishes almost cold After having the coffee for some cold we asked to have digestives at 22:58 p.m. damage they close at 23h without prior notice or information or at the time of coffee. We were just 17 people It's really not a place for a business meal"

"The restaurant had a nice garden pleasant setting. We went for a set menu and shared a smoked salmon entree and it was fine. The 2 main dishes were very disappointing my lamb was tender but a little bland and the accompanied potato...gratin was too cheesy i.e. very rich, my husband had beef medium rare it was still pink but rather tough. We were rather surprised the meat dishes did not come with any vegetables or salad where as the fish did, not even a token of greenery garnish. The cream brûlée dessert was better than the mains. We were very disappointed with the quality of the meal but the service was fine. We had a glass of wine each but 2 different types and the sommelier was very good, she poured in 4 separate glasses so we could try both. The head waiter was carving the beef at a nearby table and he was actually licking his fingers after carving. We did not think it was acceptable, however, local guests did not seem to mind. Perhaps the a la carte dishes would have been nicer."

"Gorgeous restaurant. The food was scrumptious. I had the meal of the day. The sauce was to die for. My husband had the beef steak. It melted in his mouth. Friendly service. Our French is very poor so the service staff translated the menu of the day so we knew what we weee getting. Of course, we apologised for our limited French language skills."

"warm and generous welcome, such as food, simple dishes, prepared with great care. a permanent concern to please the client. The price is absolutely unbeatable. 11 euros : entry / dish / dessert, good wines at very affordable prices. Of course you have to climb the Victoria Hugo Street, but it is worth it. All restaurants around (I have practiced them for years are avoiding, or too expensive, or mediocre, often both at a time). Viva the victor's bodega! bravo to Mr. Jess lopez."

"It cant be a co incidence that after a lunch of Moules we had the worst bout of food poisoning that evening. We ate there on the day of the Medoc marathon , which admittedly is busier than usual . As lunch progressed it was apparent that the staff could not cope and were getting stressed and ruder. There seemed to be no one overseeing things and taking control. The menu was much reduced on the day which was sensible which meant lots of people were choosing the mussels so fear that we may not have been the only ones affected. We spent all of the next day in our hotel room too weakened to move . A great shame as we were thus unable to take part in the walking tour of the chateaux . As we had not been able to run in the marathon itself due to injury this was supposed to be a highlight of the trip so were extremely disappointed."
