"We were visiting relatives in the area and needed a nice pub for lunch where we could bring both of our dogs. I googled and found this. I called at 12pm when they opened and the lady that answered was so friendly and helpful. We went in at 2pm and she sat us at a great table in the corner which gave the dogs space to lay down comfortably and not be in the way. Such a dog friendly pub with the boys getting several treats each and a dog bowl, not to mention lots of cuddles!!!! The food came and we all had different things but we ate everything. The food was absolutely delicious and great value. My partner is Irish and he confirmed that this was the best Guinness he had had in 9 years of visiting this area!!!!! Cannot find fault with anything. The staff, the food, the atmosphere, the drinks and unbelievably dog friendly. I'm sorry I didn't get the lady's name who served us but it was the tall blonde lady, who was fantastic. The roaring fire was so inviting, we had to drag ourselves away. We will most definitely be back ."

"Very nice pub. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. They serve pies and cheese boards sourced locally so a must try. Parking near by which is free on a Sunday. My only bug is that they ought to serve 0% beers etc on tap as it’s very common elsewhere these days. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: The Cheese Board, Cheese Board with Crackers, Beef and Kidney Pie"

"We had the Ramen Bowls at this venue. I had the grilled chicken teriyaki and my partner had the veggie gyoza. First thing to say is both the ramen bowls were big and bigger than Wagamama bowls! The portions you get here are bigger than Wagamama portions! My grilled chicken was a generous portion and bigger than what you get at Wagamama. However, the meat was not as luscious and tender as the chicken you get at Wagamama. My partner said she liked the veggie gyoza and all the other vegetables and noodles in her bowl . I also liked all the vegetables and noodles in my bowl and I also enjoyed the tea-stained egg! We both agreed that the broth in both bowls was NOT sufficiently full of flavour and we had to add extras like chilli pepper and soy sauce to boost the flavour!! If anything the chicken broth at this venue was better than the veggie broth. The broth you get at Wagamama is better in terms of flavour and you also get pak choi in you bowl at Wagamama but not here. To sum up, the portions in the ramen bowls here are large, but we prefer quality over quantity. Our rating for this restaurant is Good but NOT Excellent. Compared with Wagamama, prices here are about the same. On balance we prefer the ramen bowls at Wagamama."

"While our orders were taken promptly, I felt that the sudden influx of customers overwhelmed the kitchen, leading to some shortcuts in food preparation that affected the quality. With the holiday season in full swing, our side of the dining room was extremely loud, and the atmosphere felt more chaotic than cozy. The Bangladeshi-Indian menu had a lot of promise, but my Kadhai Kurchan didn't quite live up to expectations—it seemed a bit overhyped. Overall, I suspect the food is generally good, but my partner found her bhuna too spicy and very oily. Strangely, the kitchen also failed to add a bit of spinach to the curry, which I've never encountered before. Additionally, there was no yogurt salad served with the poppadoms. We did mention our disappointment to the staff, and to their credit, they were quite apologetic. They offered us a small gesture of goodwill that roughly equated to the cost of a poppadom! At least the evening ended on a positive note with a delicious panna cotta for dessert. The restaurant is a lovely space, and I believe our experience would have been much different on another night."

"The service at this restaurant was absolutely shocking. The waitress got our order wrong and did not apologize for her mistake. The chef also complained about changing the item, even though I had said it was fine to leave it. When returning with the corrected dish, the chef engaged directly with my 5-year-old, which was not acceptable. The chef also mentioned that if a mistake was made in the future, the meal would not be replaced, to which I replied that there would not be a next time. There is no "customer is always right" attitude in this establishment. The chef should stay in the kitchen as she is downright rude. Let the waiting staff do their job and customers should not have to deal with this incompetence."
