Crêperie De La Source

Visited on the evening of local Night Market so very busy, and we had not pre booked, however the staff were very helpful and efficient. Food good. We were given a table outside on one of the two terraces. A delightful spot. Would return.

Un superbe balcon avec une belle vue sur Aubeterre et l'église St Jacques. La patronne est attentive et arrangeante, mes beaux parents n'avaient pas très faim, elle nous a proposé d'adapter les portions et nous a même diminue le prix en conséquence sans rien demander !Bravo pour le sens du service

Próximo à praça principal da cidade. O ambiente é simples e agradável. O atendimento é simpático e atencioso. As atendentes tem como língua nativa o inglês.Não havia lugar na sacada e ficamos na parte de dentro. Escolhemos um dos "menus", que estava muito honesto e bem servido por 18 euros. Les crêpes sont bonnes mais difficile de rater une crêpe - le jour de notre visite quelques produits manquaient mais non annoncé au moment de la commande d'où des déceptions. Crêpe Suzette ratée ... service très anglophone un peu limitée en français. Le cadre reste agréable - c'est une adresse sympa pour un repas simple sans plus

A magical experience! Very friendly and accommodating staff, owner was a sheer delight and French chefs completed an authentic experience. So much more than crepes too, 3-course menus for lunch and evening meals. The balconies at the rear offer the best views when eating in Aubeterre. All in all, having tried the rest over two weeks, this is the by far the best food, service and ambiance. Perfectly priced too!(Also the cleanest toilet in France!)

Lunch on the terrace with an amazing view on a blistering hot day, watching the swifts darting across the sky. Such a quaint place they call it The Dolls House! We had the set menu and couldn't fault it on service, quality, quantity or price. Genuine french fare : Hot goat's cheese salad, chicken in tarragon and sorbets. We lingered over lunch and it was the highlight of our lovely day out. Thank you to staff and chef. (We were nearly put off because it advertises as a creperie, but it is so much more!) We always pay this place a visit when in Aubeterre (normally once or twice a year)The owner is such a lovely welcoming lady, as are the staff. Food is always fabulous, we have tried many of the dishes on the menu, this time we had confit duck and one of their signature crepes both were fantastic!If you can, get a seat on the upper veranda - the views here are gorgeous.Great food at very reasonable prices and an atmosphere to match - something that will keep us coming back again and again!See you next year!

Took my parents here for lunch on one of the 2 balconies. Plenty of seating inside as well. Beautiful views over the village. Always a good atmosphere. Always good food. Had the "menu". 2 choices for each of 3 courses. Between us we chose salads for starters, chicken and galette for mains and ice cream and crepe for desserts. All delicious. The team are always friendly and helpful. Just open for lunch at the moment although may be opening for dinner as well in July. Another very good lunch. Thank you. See you again soon.

We really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. The staff (and it was busy) were incredibly welcoming. We visited on a grey, wet Friday in August (unusual weather) and sat on the upper balcony. The views were good but would have been all the more enjoyable with sunshine (obviously not the restaurant's fault). We had our two dogs with us and they brought water for them. The food was good. I had the set lunch menu with jambon and melon, a savoury pancake and then caramel ice-cream. It was just right for lunch. My partner had one of the specials (a chicken dish) and a crepe suzette for dessert both of which he really enjoyed. Service was at a good pace, but you did not in any way feel rushed. W...
