"we were very impressed by da paolo, eating excellent and service very friendly. the restaurant is hidden, but clearly popular. we visited on a Sunday evening and it was only busy when we were gone (we had a table that was booked at 5.30 a.m. after we were out all day). it was good to hear a series of other customers speaking in Italian, and it was also good to see that others are well known by the employees. the food itself was varied and good quality. I had sardines to begin that were beautiful and had been a main course elsewhere. for main courses had most of our party pasta, but my wife had a risotto, that was very nice in the did. I decided for calf, my picture does not make it fair, it was tender and very tasty. I recommend paolo and will revise it in my list of restaurants."

This is my friend's local Italian restaurant and we came on Friday night after a few drinks in the areaIt was not a problem to walk in around 8:30 PM.

Amazing food! I’m usually not into vegetarian food but this vegetarian tortellini blew my mind. Very generous portion given the price, and you can tell that everything’s made freshly by the wait and how the plate’s served piping hot. Definitely the best Italian food in the area!

it was a great lunch in da paolo, the restaurant is really cozy and the tables are close, but it was a great opportunity to chat with both tables that were on the right and left side of me. the food was absolutely delicious and the staff really nice and chatting. Edit: My bad, I confused sanpellengrinos with parmesan cheese. The receipt had the text chopped off. The tomato pasta was great. The other one with broccoli and mushrooms was just bland. Portion sizes are huuuge. There was an unsolicited price of £9 for a little sprinkle of parmesan over two pastas. What a rip-off!

Lovely traditional Italian restaurant. Good menus with a wide variety of choice, be warned the portions are delicious but huge, and despite my best efforts I've been unable to finish everything, have been several times now and never had anything I didn't like. Staff are friendly and I would definitely recommend if in the area
