Took some family and friends for afternoon tea on 16th June 2023. A most enjoyable time. The food was well presented and tasty and it was no problem for staff to arrange a change to the set tea menu. Service was friendly and efficient. I will certainly be back.

Had a lovely meal on Friday to celebrate my partner's 50th birthday! The food and service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble for the waiting staff, one waitress in particular was very friendly and helpful, Mel I think was her name. We will definitely be back. Caroline

Booked in for dinner to celebrate our youngest daughters graduation. Staff were excellent despite us arriving late due to traffic. Our meal was delicious youngest daughter loved her sirloin steak, while eldest has declared she would come every day if she could just to eat the onion gravy she had with her chicken!

Had a lovely meal on Friday to celebrate my husband's birthday. Food was fabulous, cooked to perfection. I never got the waiter's name but he was excellent, (South African). Very attentive, always checking everything was okay without being intrusive. Lovely setting within the restaurant, nice ambient atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Had our wedding on Thurs 23rd Feb and couldn't have been a better venue Claire was our contact was more than helpful in ensuring our day was perfect....food was top notch and even our wee buffet went down well....honeymoon suite was stunning and all our guests who stayed praised their rooms....breakfast was great and helped with the hangover...all staff were lovely and would book again

We were at the Dalziel for a family party. The room was great with enough space for everyone. The bar was well stocked and plenty of staff on. But a barrel of beer had emptied and they could not get the next barrel to pull through the pipes so that was quite a long wait at the bar and ended up having to order a different drink. Where we were seated we could hear the music from the room next to the one we were in. The buffet was great. The staff were also great at taking empty glasses off the tables. I would definitely go back.

This is our local for food and drink but the menu hasn’t changed for so long we have decided it will be a while before we return. No specials offered, not even advised of what the soup was!! My meal was fine but hard to go wrong with fish n chips in my books. My husband said his was bland. Took ages to be served and we were in at 6 pm when it was empty. At 7.30 decided to leave as no one had come to offer desert or even another drink. First time ever we have left without leaving a tip !! Thought there was a new head chef but nothing has changed

We went here for a meal and it was absolutely wonderful to start with, but we did feel that we were holding the staff up on leaving time as the meal carried on. The food was top quality although the serving staff seemed a little confused about how the steak was cooked and that showed in how it was actually cooked for each person, with not many of the steaks being delivered cooked how they were ordered (from rare to medium swapped about). The quality was so high that no one really minded about the mix-up, but it would have certainly been nicer if we'd had them cooked as they were ordered. The food was definitely incredibly pretty and with a quality to match how good it looked.

Usually great but a few issues this time round. Firstly, I'd say the staff are great; attentive given the amount of tasks they're trying to undertake at the same time as serving customers but... I booked via resdiary for 7pm. At 1755, I received an email saying my booking had been changed to 1830. No explanation why, fortunately, I didn't have other plans but changing a booking with this little notice really isn't on. Especially given upon arrival, no one knew why it had been changed. Upon arrival, we were seated quickly and ordered starters followed by 2 steaks. One cooked well done, one , medium to well.
