A beautiful ride from the coast to the hills, fantastic food (vino, antipasti, primi, secondi, dolce, caffe) and great service. For a more than reasonable price. We're coming back!

Lovely fresh food, cheery chef cooking local dishes, no problem with vegetarian option, friendly tiny restaurant in crumbling riverside village, plenty of locals eating there good sign! Recommended

pleasant surprise during a Sunday trip in the hinterland of albenga. at first glance could deceive but the owners are cozy and the menu, as few courses, is satisfactory. wine paper proportioned with some local labels and other Piedmontese. valid the stop

Eating is good, but save yourself some difficulties and ask for the price BEFORE you order items that are not on the menu. When we were surprised how high the bill was, the waiter suddenly went from super friendly to very aggressive, called us names and even threatened to call the police AFTER the bill was regulated.

We've just come home from a wonderful 9 course meal at this cosy, rustic bar cum restaurant. Each dish (mostly fresh vegetables cooked or as salads) was immaculate and was served with obvious pride by Chicco the proprietor who, btw, speaks perfect English. This is a small but very popular place with a mixture of locals and expat English sitting outside enjoying each other's company. Not high end dining but an absolute MUST for anyone wanting a bit of authentic Italian country food (and plenty of it). Good value too at E100 for 5 with plenty of drinks. This is a highlight of my Ligurian holiday so far. Well done Chicco, you are doing something very special.

for someone “go back in time” is a negative concept, so we clarify immediately. here we do not talk about pre-printed menus, standardized food, we are talking about a restaurant bar that at some time ceases the bar service to devote to the kitchen (and the pizza oven! that means that the antonium comes and tells you what the kitchen offers that day, which means what the market offers and the circle itself, what the season offers. here is what you mean “go back in time”: direct personal relationship, genuine ingredients and want to listen, to be advised to find out what the Ligurian hinterland cuisine offers in that season. of course, the quid is the excellent preparation of everything, from...

Per qualcuno “tornare indietro nel tempo” è concetto negativo, quindi chiariamo subito. Qui non parliamo di menù prestampato, di cibi standardizzati, stiamo parlando un un ristorante bar che ad una certa ora cessa il servizio bar per dedicarsi alla cucina (ed al forno per le pizze!!! questo vuol dire che Antonio arriva e vi dice cosa offre quel giorno la cucina, il che significa cosa offre il mercato e l’orlo proprio, cosa offre quindi la stagione. Ecco cosa si intende con “tornare indietro nel tempo”: rapporto diretto personale, ingredienti genuini e voglia di ascoltare, di farsi consigliare per scoprire cosa offre la cucina dell’ entroterra ligure in quella stagione.
