Highly recommended for pre-theatre dinner. Options for fixed price menu, staff checked what time we needed to leave by. Food was served quickly and portions were both delicious and generous. Would definitely come here again pre- show.

super filet steak and a whole sea basin we enjoyed very much. the hotel staff was efficient and friendly. the cocktail waitress behind the bar new her things and had the time to hire us. all in all a nice lunch on a bank. Monday. thirdly, this is not disappointed.

if it is true that they eat with their eyes, then the food should go directly into the müll when it arrived. mushrooms and ham omelette served on a dish, no presentation or even garnish. deteriorates by the mushroom juice that bleeds on the plate. my eggs were served in a similar way and the toast arrived only after the irons. Covid has certainly taken its toll on the cooking here. There were good points: schnitzel, strudel, smoked salmon. However some really unpleasant food: new potatoes swamped with dressing; cucumber salad over pickled to a slushy disintegrating texture; kedgeree was luke warm. too wet and an...unpleasant grey colour. Front of house superb. Waiting staff a mixture of excellent and indifferent. The juniors need to know the make up of the dishes much better and be a little more patient at the tables. I would go back as the place has so much going for it however I would be much more careful to eat what cannot easily be ruined in the kitchen

we had booked the food before the theater as a package with the aldwych. we arrived early and were shown on a table on the back of the beautiful room. all the others diner, in the beautiful lively part of the room, seemed to eat. the full menu. the small choice on our menu was disappointing, and the possibility to have an allowance in direction main menu was not allowed. my spatchcock huh and salsa verde was just like I said. Unfortunately, the chicken was at the ranch of the boil and part when the wishbone was in that I almost torn up! the possibility to buy additional vegetables has never been offered until we asked if it was possible to have additional potatoes. during the whole meal we h...

Firstly I want to say there is so much that deserves praise here smiling front of house/receptionists/wonderful floor staff managers constantly observing everything going on watching the floor/drinks waiters constantly topping up water replenishing wine etc/beautiful breathtaking surroundings attention to...detail immaculate furnishings everything is spot on…..but the food. The ‘occasion of the place’ well makes up for this BUT from the price point the food needs to also be perfection. This starts as any good chef knows with seasoning bland doesn’t cut it at this level of dining. Nor does look-warm.
