"I booked at short notice for a Sunday roast and was joined by my wife, 3 year old son and our exuberant boxer dog, Bruno. The staff were more than welcoming and the meal was superb. The pub had a lively ambiance and couldn't fault the service at all. I'm happy to recommend."

"we visited our 3 year old daughter this afternoon. the weather outside was terrible and rainy, so we wanted to treat ourselves! in the cozy, rustic restaurant we immediately welcomed. the personal cared very much for us and was wonderfully friendly and attentive. our daughter ava was spoken like an adult she really loved! we went to a starter, but enjoyed a plate of broth and oils that were delicious. especially the garlic and rosmarinfokaccia! the chef was also generous enough to serve a free cauliflower soup and it was just what we needed on a cold rainy day. I chose the signature chicken dish and a side of chips, my man the Italian sausage risotto and both dishes were absolutely delicious. perfectly portioned and seasoned! ava had penne pasta with ragu and she polished the whole bowl. I've never seen how they enjoy eating in a restaurant so much and we eat a lot! a wonderful little bite we can't wait to come back. Thank you!"

"Did not want to post this review but I provided an online review, as requested by restaurant , but had no response. Went for Sunday lunch with another couple. Stood around for ages before being welcomed and shown to our table. Not terribly busy but there was a large birthday party at an adjacent table. Ordered meals, only main courses, which did take some time to arrive but had no problem with that. When they arrived the two roasts were swimming in “ bisto” gravy more in keeping with a “ Greasy Spoon” café. There were no green vegetables and when requested were told there weren’t any. The salmon was over cooked and the Cumberland sausage and mash, although nicely presented came with braised red cabbage and onion gravy which completely overpowered the meal. No one came to ask us if our meals were OK even when clearing plates which had sizeable amounts left. We asked for sweet menus but they never arrived. Our table was booked from 1.45 with a request to vacate by 3.45 which was fine. However before 2.00 pm staff were starting to clear up and were resetting the restaurant for evening session and as it was obvious we were not going to get sweet menus and felt we were in the way so we had no alternative but to leave. Having travelled some way to visit this establishment to say we were disappointed is an understatement,"

"What a little hidden gem this place is! Would never of known it existed if it wasn 't for a friend of a friend. Visited multiple times this week! May i just say 'thank you ' to one of your waitresses, didn 't catch her name but she was working all 3 times we went and being pregnant i really wanted your Aspen fries (so delicious) before it was your main meal times to serve. She accommodated this for me and had a giggle saying 'we can 't have an angry pregnant lady '. I really appreciated it and her service was fantastic. Food on all occasions was delicious and i can 't get enough of your milkshakes. Definitely need a sign on the main road side or something similar though as we had to search to find you the first time! No doubt will be visiting regularly now and spreading the word to our family and friends."
