"At Donna Elvira Restaurant you can eat some very special food. Forget the typical Cilento food. The chef offers some delicious and high standard dishes, made of the best local ingredients and always with a touch of magic. So people who expect to find the standard cousine must look elsewhere because this is not that kind of restaurant. There is a huge selection of local and Italian wines, a sommelier that can help you finding the right bottle for your tastes. The waiters are well instructed and the table is elegant, at candlelight. Whether you choose the offer of their degustazione menù or, as we did, you choose a la carte what you like the most, you will be delighted by very special tastes and never banal servings. This is a classy and top lever restaurant that absolutely deserves a visit or more than one! You only have to be sure you like this class and have the money to pay for it. By the way, the prices are high but not crazy compared to the quality of the food. A must go!"

"This experience was marked by chaotic organization. As for the food, I can't comment much because they clearly need to get their reservations in order before I can comment the quality of their services ; A friend from abroad was visiting and wanted to give this restaurant a try. We made a reservation a full 10 days in advance ! , only to receive the cancellation just one day before. My friend was visibly disappointed, and I couldn't quickly find an alternative for our weekend get together. What baffles me the most is how they can push away a group of guests who could have easily spent over 600 euros on their establishment on such short notice!!! The cancellation, in and of itself, isn't the worst part that can happen anywhere. It's the way it happened that's problematic: a brief email sentence, no apology, and no offer of an alternative date. I won't be attempting this again because I value reliability, and my time is too precious to be treated this way."

"Prima esperienza in questo ristorante e bisogna dire che abbiamo mangiato bene. Cucinare il pesce e i frutti di mare non è facile e finalmente abbiamo trovato un posto che sa il fatto suo. Il locale si trova in un vicolo vicino al corso principale di Santa Maria di Castellabate, non è difficile da trovare. Noi ci siamo sistemati nella saletta all'ingresso, ma c'è un'altra sala all'interno che non abbiamo visto. Come prima portata, abbiamo ordinato un antipasto di mare, tutto buono e saporito, in particolare le alici freschissime. Abbiamo poi preso uno spaghetto alle vongole e un risotto alla pescatora. Lo spaghetto era saporito e col classico sughetto denso che deve avere e poi pieno di vongole! Il risotto era davvero ricco e buonissimo di sapore, peccato per qualche pezzo di conchiglia delle vongole, però capita! Ci siamo fermati qui perché sazi, ma abbiamo voluto assaggiare la delizia al limone, da far concorrenza a quelle della penisola sorrentina! Arancello, liquore all'arancia, offerto da Nello, sempre presente in sala per una chiacchiera, può sembrare invadente, ma è fatto così ed è comunque simpatico, come la signora che prende le ordinazioni, gentile e alla mano. Insomma, sicuramente torneremo per assaggiare i secondi!"

"Excellent raw material, but disappointing experience. It may have been the wrong time to stop and eat, but it was the only restaurant open in the city in the evening on Carnival Sunday. After having sat us down and ordered a drink (water and two glasses of wine), we tried to order food, but almost all the dishes we wanted could not be made as the ingredients were missing (according to them they had finished everything at lunch) , neither firsts nor seconds, nothing. The only thing that was feasible were sandwiches. We therefore ordered two sandwiches, one with salmon and the other with tempura prawns. Nothing to complain about the fish which was very good, but the bread was inedible, hard and dry like I don 't know what, so much so that it couldn 't even be cut with a knife. It was super embarrassing to eat it while they were looking at us and laughing at us for how dirty we were getting while trying to eat it. The further blow came with the final bill... the two of us spent €55 If before the bill I would have gone back to give them another chance, after that they lost all hope."

"Sono stato in questo bellissimo ristorante una sera di luglio. Non avevamo prenotato e dopo un po' di attesa il gentilissimo personale ci ha trovato un tavolo per due. I piatti proposti sono principalmente tutti a base di pesce, dall'antipasto al dolce sono una meraviglia per il palato e per gli occhi. Gli ingredienti usati sono di qualità superba, il pesce proposto era freschissimo. Ho potuto vivere questa esperienza culiraria in maniera molto rilassata, il personale sempre attento alle esigenze del cliente senza mai essere troppo pressante. Ristorante pulitissimo, bagni idem e l'atmosfera che si vive è davvero molto cordiale e familare. Ritornerò sicuramente per un altro weekend rilassante e proverò le altre meraviglie presenti sul menù stagionale. Prezzo allineato al servizio, cibo e luogo proposto. Non è un prezzo alto ma davvero molto giusto per quello che offrono. Assolutamente da provare se capitate in questo bellissimo luogo. CONSIGLIO: ristorante sempre molto affollato, prenotate sempre prima."
