"Went for Saturday evening meal to use a gift voucher….Wow! Excellent meal, with lots of choice on the menu. Lovely staff all friendly and helpful. I had the Sea Bream followed by Rhubarb Elton Mess pudding and would highly recommend them, delicious and best meal I’ve had for a while. One dinner guest is a vegetarian and finds it challenging to find good vegetarian food and she commented on how good her meal was too! We visited here several years ago and were very disappointed and despite being local we kept away…..it has obviously changed hands now and is now very impressive, vibrant, busy, wonderful atmosphere and excellent food. Book early as is very popular and we definitely return again. Indeed, I have also heard their Brunches are excellent too and worth a visit!"

"5 of us called in this lunch time 03/04/2024. This is a real Pub run by real friendly people, this is not a McDonald's with a bar. It is a warm friendly pub with excellent food cooked by the landlord himself who makes a fantastic job of it, just make sure you are hungry as the portions are generous. We will be going back and next time I will remember to take photo's of the excellent food."

"I have been here 3 times now, I would highly recommend this place. The service was great on each occasion, the staff are very welcoming, assertive and helpful! the drinks were ready quickly and the food was AMAZING!! The price is so reasonable too!! me and my friend come here after playgroup every week and we always struggle to decide what we are going to have, we're making it a regular thing now to try and get through the menu. ...Im not a big lover of nutella but I really reccomend the Chocolate Nutella milkshake and the nutella blondie!!! See you again next week guys! xxx"

"Myself and my wife went for the first time this evening for Valentines and arrived at around 20.10. The first thing that we noticed was how cold the place was and were moved to another table where it was just as cold. Many people were...sat eating their meal with coats on. We were finally asked to order at about 20.40. By 21.35 our starter still not had arrived. I then went to cancel the meal and was told that te starter was just in the oven and so I confirmed the cancellation. I was then charged for the drinks that we had but was charged for 2 large wines when my wife had only had medium. We asked to speak to the manager and was told he was too busy and therefore had to leave our number for a call back. Evening ruined, we left. The manager later called and basically just offered a free bottle of wine without understanding the real problems and making no attempt to say how they would rectify the service and the temperature for future. At this point we stated that it was pointless offering free wine when we would not go back anyway. He then turned sarcastic and rang off. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE COMFORTABLE EATING YOUR MEAL, BE SERVED IN A DECENT TIMESCALE AND HAVE MANAGEMENT WHIO UNDERSTAND GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE."
