Food was not impressive at all. Tried the tuna salad and fish cake. Not my type at all.

Just a total "meh" I went there on a set menu voucher and not only were the choices limited, the execution was pretty poor.

I came with friends to celebrate a birthday. it is a very romantic classic restaurant and very old designed in this sense. I don't owe it to eat, because I found it very attractive. it was pretty busy and it is good to book in advance. if they like to eat French, they give this place a chance.

proves that elena L’Etoile has died over a hundred years in the charlotte street, are written in the swallowed red velvet sessions, strong bed linen and signed photographs of youthful actors from another epoch – proves that susan sarandon is not etched from a crisp and sardonic, someone should need it. the chicken liver parrot is ordered with hopes on the take-up of an airy mousse, but these will soon be scattered.

the waiter almost fell by asking for the pan roasted duck breast. as I try to allow me a little pink in my flesh, I met him halfway and went too well for medium. it was accompanied by parmentiere celeriac, brat baby precious stone, roast red paprika pure red wine sauce, a good looking plate of eating and extremely tasty. I was surprised by the red pfefferpüre, there was a really happy taste on unusually pleasant wise, but the juicy duck was always a winner. Speisekarte ansehen

I've been here many times over the years. A perfect business lunch setting, the place is always buzzing, and although I've never been in the evening, all the signed photos of various thesps that crowd the walls show that it has been a celeb hangout for years. Elena herself presides over the place, god knows how old she is but she is a legend. This restaurant first opened its doors over years ago apparently.Food is French, vast menu. Pretty pricey. I've had some iffy meals here, but I did have really lovely calves liver once (something I was reluctant to try after being very sick at school dinners....)Bit of a meeja gaff, but great for people watching. Always a winner.

An old school French restaurant located among Charlotte Street's finest, Elena's L'Etoile is a stalwart and a favourite of English celebrities when walking past once, I spotted Alan Bennett and Ronnie Corbett emerging together from lunch, hugging and stepping into separate taxis. The walls are lined with photos of famous patrons of the past, adding a real sense of heritage and stardom to the place. The food was excellent, as you can imagine traditional French dishes, done to perfection. The salmon with quid ink pasta was a particular treat. Wonderful service, wonderful decor and a wonderful night you feel like you've stepped into a not to distant past when you enter this place.

from both of us I found eating at elenas to be totally acceptable, but the price-performance ratio is a bit ho-hum. the photos of the stars that decorate the walls gives him a certain charm, but the bright lighting makes nothing for the shaded color job that lurking behind the mugs, and I felt, giving the place a caffe feeling. Some candles and somewhat lower lighting could go the inner further. I think the attention to small details makes customers appreciate. for example, why not use stainless steel eis eimer instead of plastic, which I enjoyed the chicken liver parfait, served with roasted brioche and chutney. so good.
