"Took my nephew for a pre theatre meal. Lovely food and red wine, great service. Easy to get to from London Bridge station. My nephew was really pleased with my choice of restaurant as he has spent the summer in Portugal with his girlfriends family and speaks flaunt Portuguese already. Said he will return with his girlfriend as her parents always take them to other Portuguese restaurants in and around London."

Big portions! Ordered the house bacalao and couldn't finish the house-cooked potatoes. Friends had some other dishes that needed more seasoning. Guess you have to order the right dish!

Poor customer service. Cold dry bacalao balls no help with menu. Had to keep calling waiter over and service was extremely slow. Service was slow and non friendly. Felt like we were a chore to the restaurant. Speisekarte ansehen

We visited this place just for coffee and (delicious) Portuguese custard tarts. But it was obvious from what the other diners were eating that they offer a huge range of delicious food, including lots of fish dishes. Pleasant seating both inside and on the terrace outside.

We really enjoyed our visit to Estrela Bar. It was quiet on our arrival (Sunday lunchtime) but it soon filled up and is clearly a popular local destination. The restaurant is very pleasant, the service was very good. We enjoyed the food- I had great sardines! The helpings were very generous and the bill was most reasonable. We hope to return.
