"Vegan-friendly and absolutely incredible dining experience! The restaurant has a beautiful interior. We found the prices a bit high, but the amazing food was truly worth every penny! It was incredibly flavorful and simply delicious. We all had a wonderful time, and the meal was fantastic! The presentation was excellent as well. Everything was freshly prepared. There were six of us dining, including a vegetarian, a pescetarian, a dairy-free pescetarian, and a vegan, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our dietary needs were met effortlessly!"

"The Moon Highgate is a family business, offering excellent vegan options, fabulous desserts, a wine list with clearly labelled vegan wines, so it is heaven for diners like me. We were celebrating as it was World Vegan Day, kicking off World Vegan Month, my 31st vegan anniversary and my husband had just finished Go Sober for October. We ordered a very nice bottle of Kintu Cabernet Sauvignon, whilst perusing the menu, a difficult choice, as everything sounded so good. I chose salt baked beetroot salad, beetroot vinaigrette and walnuts to start and hubby king oyster mushroom confit with polenta, both excellent dishes. My main course was roast Jerusalem artichokes, cavolo nero and baked spelt and pumpkin ravioli for hubby with sides of Chantenay carrots and a side salad to share. What satisfying autumnal dishes they were, totally delicious. I was ruined for vegan dessert options, so ordered the bitter chocolate ganache and caramelised pineapple so we could share, how wonderful to have that choice, they were scrumptious and heavenly. We had a quick chat with chef Leon, who said he felt a bit limited on vegan options, but having had some poor experiences over the last two weeks at other restaurants, I think he is underselling himself, I think he is very creative. What a great place The Moon is, highly recommended to other vegans when in the area, we will certainly be making a return visit. Updated from previous review on 2017-11-05"

"This lovely, bustling little café had so many tempting options on the menu! I ordered the Paris Benedict (pictured), and it was absolutely gorgeous. I also tried the lavender hot chocolate, which was amazing such a unique and delicious treat. The atmosphere was cozy with comfy seating, and despite how busy they were, everything arrived super quickly, which was impressive. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that while the service was efficient, the interactions with the staff didn’t stand out in any memorable way. That said, I’d still highly recommend this spot for a great breakfast!"

"I visited this restaurant for the second time and unfortunately, there has been no improvement since my first visit. The cafe was completely empty when we arrived and our order was placed with approximately 5 staff members present. The tea for two was served in the smallest cups I have ever seen, accompanied by a small teapot meant for one person. After a six-minute wait, my sausage sandwich was brought out. It wasn't until my wife inquired about her toasted teacake that we realized it had been forgotten by the toaster. Instead of making a fresh one, the cold teacake was brought out. It seems like the staff spent more time chatting amongst themselves rather than attending to the customers. Needless to say, we will not be returning for a third visit."

"The tapas dishes were quite good and were served in quick succession, which may appeal to some diners while not to others. Unfortunately, most of the drinks we attempted to order were unavailable, so we ended up just having tap water. The toasted beans served as a starter were stale, which was disappointing. I had to take some points off for the service because they failed to bring one of the desserts we ordered. It has a lively atmosphere, the music was enjoyable, and the decor is nice with large windows facing the street. Despite the bustling environment, we weren't rushed to leave, which was a pleasant touch."
