Fenways - Speisekarte

We’ve been to Fenways a couple of times before and loved it, but it’s gone really down hill since the new owners took over.

Excellent food, excellent atmosphere. Only minus is the service although great we had to wait a while for the bill, but the waiting staff were over run.

We waiting for 40 minutes for a drink at the bar when we arrived. Despite the fact that there were a total of 6 people, including us at the bar. We then waited for a further 30 minutes for someone to come and take our order when we had been seated. Not good enough! Speisekarte ansehen

The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed, making it a great spot for families with children. They offer free main meals for kids under 5, which is a nice perk, but a £5 charge for kids' desserts feels a bit steep. Also, we noticed a £30 overcharge on our bill, so it's important to double-check your receipt.

Service was friendly and food was quick. Food tastes amazing, and all was going very well until my son found a woodlouse under his fries. Until this point it was brilliant. The staff delt with it well by taking my son's meal and drink off the bill. If it wasn't for the woodlouse I would have recommended and given 4-5 star review.

A little disappointing. I've visited Fenways before, and it was great for gluten-free options. However, this time, although the burger came with a gluten-free bun, we couldn't have the fries. This policy seems to have changed since our last visit. They did offer us a discount (since the price includes fries), but we're probably not going to return. Speisekarte ansehen

I have been to Fenways twice before and had no complaints, but this time it was a different experience. The burger was overcooked, the chips were hardly seasoned, and the cheese tasted off. Additionally, the service has consistently been poor during my visits, likely because there aren't enough staff to effectively manage a busy restaurant like this one.

We arrived, table ready. Place was half empty but told it had gotten busy and there would be a wait on food. Menu not the same as what was on the open table website where you have to book the table, so disappointing when you’ve seen something you want before hand and then it’s not on the menu when you get there. Asked for steak medium rare, came medium well, far too over cooked but had already waited ages for the food.

We were a party of five and only one of three tables there on a Saturday evening. They crammed us around a small table and when we requested to move they said they were fully booked yet no one else arrived during our meal. It took over 20 minutes to get our drinks, which were sat on the bar and we had to ask the waitress to get, when they came, they were flat and weak. We waited a further 40 more minutes for food 2 of which were enjoyable but none of which were worth the £15 each. We left disappointed as it was meant to be a birthday celebration meal and the whole experience was just depressing. Only wish we had read other reviews before we went. Avoid, there are so many better places to eat... Speisekarte ansehen
