We tried to go to this restaurant yesterday, it sounds excellent, but the map that comes up on TripAdvisor shows its location approximately 100 kms away from where I it actually is. Very disappointing.

I have lived in the Dordogne for almost 7 years now and during that time I have eaten some truely delicious duck. Or so I thought. Then I was served the magret at the Auberge du Rebeyrotte and realised that this is what duck should be. The food is delicious - simple pure regional cooking at the very highest standard. All the staff are utterly charming. Please do give it a try - just eat there once and you will become a devotee!

My family have been eating here for years. It's the highlight of our annual French holiday. More recently we have been taking friends here as well. It's always the same menu for Sunday lunch, which means it's honed to perfection. As another reviewer mentioned, you do need to like duck! On other days the food is equally good and not always duck based. I've had an excellent lasagne here in the past. It's a family run establishment and the staff are just so friendly. I agree with everything that has been written upstream . i.e. a good duck-based table , a typical perigonurdin meal for 25 euros aperitif and shepherdac wine included there is nothing to say. Besides, it's very copied. the rooms of the cottage are simple but very correct there again for about 60 euros it is really good. After a few flats, the meal is duck or duck all year round including at the hottest of summer. If a guest wants to lighter fish, salad or meat, it's not on the program. the environment is rural, but very basic, it is a real farm, rustic without any fioriture. the welcome, described as very warm on several occasions, personally I knew more warm, but good it is a matter of perc...
