Such a popular place,great view from the outside dining area,great staff,superb food but sells out of things quite regularly IME

Beautiful view of Sandown pier and the beach, perfect location and a very nice atmosphere. Ploughman’s lunch was good and service was great.

The food was pretty standard for a pub. Not bad. Could do with more variety the menu. Order at the bar. Service was a bit slow but I think it's the way the bar is laid out. Not the staff. Good portions.

We always head to Flanagan's when we're in Sandown. They have a great variety of drinks, lots of seating, and a welcoming atmosphere. The seafood platter was delicious, especially when paired with a couple pints of Starboard.

The restaurant has a lovely location with a balcony that overlooks the pier. Unfortunately, the food was only average. Both of our steaks were cooked too much (we ordered them rare but they were well done) and the scampi was missing from our fish platter (they fixed this mistake when we brought it to their attention). Good selection of beers on tap, good location and layout but poor quality food and manager hostile to criticism. Pictures Chicken burger chips (dry, bland and unappetising. Left uneaten). Baked potato tuna (seemed more like a part boiled potato with a leathery skin. Refunded). Final verdict Pop in for a quick pint then go elsewhere for food. Shame.

Flanigan's is my idea of the Home Style Cuisine we all love and wish we could get more when we are out. Each Meal in our order for 7 felt and tasted like it was Home Cooked which was lovely, full of flavour and generous portions. Drinks were also very reasonable for the price and again, generous with the quantity. If I had one gripe, it would be that the pricing of items such as Jacket Potatoes, is a little high considering the value of the items involved. Otherwise a very accommodating Restaurant, which we return to every year as a family during our Holiday. I'd recommend a trip to Flanigan's every time.

We booked a table and went for a Saturday dinner. They gave us a nice table with a view of the beach. Service was alright. The food that we ordered was not great. The best ones were the french loaf that came with the stilton cheese broccoli soup and the garlic bread that came with the lasagne. The food could have been better if the melted cheese was cooked more to make the top brown and crispy. This was not the case for both the lasagne and the cheese fries as you can see from the pictures. The dishes were loaded with too much undercooked cheese.
