the middle of the week was excellent. good value, more pages than they would normally expect to have fresh ingredients big aromen. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Went to carlisle express and when the food was collected the chicken was pink. I was promised a free meal next time I went. today i rang for my free meal the staff were extremely rude and put the phone down. Would not recommend. AVOID...AT ALL COSTS.

we ordered a chicken corma that is always good, but I wanted something else so I ordered the mixed kebab in a nan brot. it came on the wet salate that cleanse the nan brot and the salat too hot...and not edible! that forced me not to order from here again. Speisekarte ansehen

Waited well over the time scale for food when it finally turned up the food felt cold an the sauce was like water an when I phoned after time scale the excuse was driver said he would be there in ten minutes this is deffo...not my next takeaway on the menu

Raw chicken rude staff! Wouldn't recommend! Ordered meal for The chicken was pink phoned up staff were nice,told me to order same next week they would give me it they couldn't be more sorry for the food ! This week told lies and refused!...Not the bad review on this!

"We went to Mamma's Restaurant 3/9/23 for lunch around 1:30pm. We ordered 2 senior citizens lunches, which consists of small fish and chips, mushy peas a slice of bread and butter and a pot of tea. The pot of tea arrived within a few minutes. Our son joined us and ordered Scampi and chips a portion of gravy and a can of pop. His meal and drink arrived within 10 minutes and he began to tuck in, ours had not yet arrived. A further 5 to 10 minutes later my wife's fish and chips arrived and she tucked in, mine had still not arrived. When my wife was half way through her meal, mine finally arrived, at which point I asked if we could have the bread and butter which was part of the meal deal, we waited and my wife had actually finished her meal when we asked again for the bread and butter and were told it was on its way. We waited, the same member of staff who assured me the bread and butter was on its way then brought and served the meals to the table next to us. I asked again for the bread and butter, which finally came after about another 5 minutes. By this time my wife and son had finished eating and I was almost finished. The food was good, but the service was absolutely atrocious and at a cost of almost £37 for the 3 of us, is unacceptable. Unfortunately I will not eat here again and would not recommend to anyone I know to do so, after our experience."

"Myself and my friend came here for afternoon tea. Food was very nice, cakes were nicely presented and tasted great. Scones were excellent. Service was good. The only thing I would say is the atmosphere was a bit dead. I can't remember if there was...music or not, but I remember thinking it could do with something more to make it less awkward. That being said, the food was great and the lady running it was very pleasant also. Would recommend if you fancy a quiet afternoon tea. Also, to support local businesses."

"Nice, warm and lovely place. Already have been in there a couple of times but never had the chance to take some pictures and to write a review. The food was always good and never had any issues, the staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are decent for food and drinks. We’ll definitely revisit the place at some point."

"The food at this restaurant is delightful with plenty of options to choose from. The service is top-notch, making it a great spot for a lunch outing. The price per person ranges from £80 to £90, but it is well worth it for the quality of food and service. I highly recommend trying the Pad Thai, Belly Pork Prawn Stir Fry, and Tom Yum for a delicious meal. The atmosphere is also lovely, earning a 5-star rating in my book."

"I have used the Ruen loads pre COVID and not only is the food excellent but the service was second to none. We visited for the first time since COVID recently and the good news is the food has not suffered at all. We had a delicious meal and as good as it always was. The staff were, are and continue to be really lovely however service pre COVID was like a military operation so precise and organised. Not quite as good this time. Drinks took a little while to arrive and simple things were just not quite right for example hot plates brought and put down for the mains which had gone cool by time the food arrived, had to ask for cutlery for mains, this wouldn’t have happened pre COVID. Don’t take this review wrong it is a great restaurant food excellent staff lovely I highly recommend it, however it’s lost a bit of its precise service. I suspect that it is operating on reduced staffing at present which might explain it but otherwise a delicious meal and really friendly staff as always and we will defo be back. It would be 6 stars from me if old service precision returns!"
