We called in for some lunch after going to the flee Market today. We have been several times now and is a lovely place. The service is very good as well as the food. Two of our party had soup, which was lovely but a bit on the cold side. We mentioned this and straight away with no quibbles took it away and made fresh, they even removed it from the bill but we would have paid as they were lovely hosts and made our visit very welcoming. I initially visited this restaurant for coffee on a Saturday afternoon with my elderly dog. However, the menu looked so appealing that we ended up staying for lunch after my wife took a walk to the White Horse. Our meal surpassed our expectations from what was listed on the menu. The service was warm and friendly. The only downside was that the flat whites we ordered did not quite live up to our expectations. The coffee was tasty, but not exactly what we were expecting in terms of flat whites. Despite this small issue, we would definitely return to this restaurant.

Do I wish we had a pub like this in our village!!! Open on a Monday. TICK. Warm welcome. TICK. Roaring fire. TICK. Great menu. TICK. Good food. TICK. Top beers TICK. Superb location TICK. You get the picture. This is a super, traditional Yorkshire pub with rooms. As four walkers, we could not have asked for better sandwiches. The Pigs in Blankets Baguette was inspirational brilliance and tasted divine only beaten by the bestest of chunky chips. We were treated like royalty and will return for dinner and a possible overnight stay even though we live just 20 miles away. Top place. Well done and Thanks! Speisekarte ansehen
