I have lunch there every week. Great food, friendly service and so reasonable. Definitely go to the ladies or men’s room, like walking into a garden.

Always a favourite at the weekend. A cosy, friendly atmosphere inside a great place to sit and read the paper! Gorgeous coffee and cakes worth going there specifically for!

We visit here every few weeks and it really is lovely. The staff are friendly and efficient and the menu has a good selection! The cakes are delicious. The decor is thoughtful there was an Easter display on the counter too! Speisekarte ansehen

This charming coffee shop is a must-visit every time we are in Dorking. The welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious homemade cakes, and excellent coffee are the perfect combination for a cozy break on a chilly and windy day.

Don’t know why there is a picture of burger and chips as you can’t get that here! Good selection of drinks and lunch items such as sandwiches, jacket potatoes and cakes. They only take cash which is annoying as I tend to use contactless card for everything these days.

This restaurant is fantastic, with incredibly friendly staff who go above and beyond to assist you. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the drinks, especially the mint hot chocolate, are delicious. Well I like it being cashless. There 's a nice gentle pace in the place where there are very few irritating people. No one seems in a hurry to leave. The menu is simple but just right for a easy lunch or snack. Bit nicer than being on the hoof save that for Costa. Rather like the unassuming waitresses too. Always polite, gently getting on with it and well worth tipping at the end of the visit. The toilet facilities are a pleasant surprise and it 's good to be in an independent coffee shop in the centre of town with a quiet buzz.

During our visit to Dorking to explore the antique shops, we stumbled upon this delightful coffee shop. The homemade cakes, while we cannot confirm their authenticity, were incredibly tasty and visually appealing. The variety of flavors offered was vast and the prices were reasonable. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. If we find ourselves in Dorking again, we will definitely revisit this hidden gem of a coffee shop, especially since some parts of the High Street were a bit worn down and this cafe was tucked away down a charming walkway.

I've walked past Fothergills many times on my trips to Dorking, the fascia is dark and not terribly eye-catching and I've not given it any thought before. However, a friend took me there this week and I was very pleasantly surprised when we got inside. The interior although quite dark, is cosy, warm and clean, and the service is friendly and attentive without being annoying. We had coffee (great) and an enormous piece of Bakewell Tart (tasty). In fact, I was so impressed that I took my husband there today (13/6/19) and we had coffee again, panini and goats' cheese tart (both very tasty). Fothergills is a great find. Speisekarte ansehen
