Gallery Cafe Aux Arts Etc

Before setting off on a busy day seeing all the sights round Notre Dame area we found this lovely tiny cafe for breakfast with a view across the river. The service was very friendly and the food was beautiful. A really relaxed start to the day and just what we needed.

A great little cafe right by the river. The decor is eclectic and you're surrounded by interesting art and photographs. The hot chocolate was great and there's a good selection of teas (try the Be Cool- liquorice and mint) and the cakes looked delicious! You can get takeaway there too which is handy

My wife and I have an apartment above this excellent cafe/bistro.The owners speak English , if that is important, and are very hospitable.The coffee is excellent as well as pastries and the eggs leave nothing unattended to.Basically a hit unlike most of the tourist places this close to Notre Dame.A definite hit!!

Walking from Notre Dame, we had worked up quite an appetite. Chanced upon this cafe and walked in for a late lunch. I really enjoyed the Van Gogh salad, a delectable combination of strawberries, fish, and greens. Two of my vegetarian companions had sandwiches which the server was happy to customize to their needs. Would love to visit again!

Stumbled upon this cafe for breakfast while visiting Notre Dame, and went back the following day as well! Great breakfast, and on the second day they made us a dish which wasn't even on the menu, they simply made it upon our request! Tasty affordable food, great coffee (especially the iced coffees!) and very friendly service! Would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone =)

After being out for several hours and before going to Notre Dame we popped in for a quick coffee and a bite to eat. We were made very welcome. The coffee was brilliant - the best we have had in nearly 5 weeks of travelling zEurope and the UK. Our quiche &salad with a side of soup and bread was great- all elements stacked up to the quality promoted by the owners. If you are into art (which we aren't really) that is a bonus!! Can highly recommend.

We were on our way to Notre Dame and wanted a good place for breakfast near by. I must say i was very sceptical considering how touristy this area is. The cafe turned out to be wonderful. The owners were very friendly and nice. Food was very good, coffee was amazing. The cafe also serves as a gallery so the ambient is very nice albeit small which actually adds to the cozyness of the breakfast. If you are in the area and looking for a good meal, i would absolutely recommend this.

This was a wonderful little cafe just down the road from where we were staying. During our stay, we made several trips back, sometimes just for coffee, others for a full breakfast.The owners are very friendly and we really enjoyed getting to know them. During our first visit, they helped orient us to Paris, and on the last day of our trip, they helped us plan a lovely walking tour that brought us to places we would have missed.Another wonderful part of this cafe is that they understand gluten allergies. This is the real deal, a very small and authentic café, run by a husband and wife team, extremely close to Notre Dame, serving a variety of homemade French dishes (e.g. onion soup, quiche) as well as delicious sandwiches.
